The Space:

This wonderful three-story home is conveniently located on the island of Minocqua, near the Bearskin trailhead and public boat landing on Lake Minocqua, and within walking distance to all restaurants and shops that Minocqua has to offer. Guests can enjoy all of the luxuries of dock access during their stay. The home's second level, which is at the street level, hosts the main living space. A carpeted living room awaits with a comfortable sofa, two armchairs, a quaint coffee table, and a wall-mounted smart TV with streaming services. From here you can also see partial views of Lake Minocqua. If you would like to admire it from another point of view, step outside to the furnished deck. Back inside, the galley-style kitchen is complete with a full-size fridge, stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, and dishwasher - the group's cook will have everything they need to whip up tasty meals and snacks for the gang. Then, gather at the dining table off the kitchen that seats six people comfortably. This level also features a bedroom and a full bathroom. The basement is home to a secluded second living room with a sectional, a rocking chair, and another smart TV; a full bathroom; and a storage area with a washer/dryer, sink, ironing board, and a full-size fridge. This cottage was beautiful, comfortable, and the location ideal. From the porch we could watch the water ski show and on our last night a fantastic fireworks. Shops are all a short walk away, as is ice cream. Beds are all comfy. We had a great time!

Great Location

The Catalog Cottage was the perfect fit for our mini get away! The home was beautifully decorated and very clean. The location is right on lake Minocqua with view of the water and you can watch the Minocqua Ski Club show from the boat dock that is located in front of the home. Walking distance to many restaurants and downtown shops. We highly recommend this wonderful home and will be back for another mini get away!

We had a very pleasant stay. We had a few hiccups with appliances, but it was quickly rectified. The place is so cute and decorated very nice. Location is everything and this rental is located just off the main street with in walking distance to restaurants and shopping. We had a very pleasant stay and would definitely stay again.

The perfect location

This house has such a warm and welcoming character! It is clean and well cared for. The location is perfect-- everyone could just walk the less than a block distance to shop, eat out, have coffee at the coffee shops, or find ice cream. We aren't boaters but enjoyed the action on the lake, and on our last evening were treated to a fantastic fireworks display on the lake, we watched it from the front porch of the cottage. The beds are comfy, the number of bathrooms made it easy for all of us to be ready at the same time to go wherever we planned. Thank you!

The Perfect Getaway Spot

This totally renovated Sears home is a gem. Located near all the local attractions it allows you to walk to all the nearby amenities such as bars, restaurants and shopping. You can even watch the water ski show from your patio. Another great convenience was your own private pier included during your stay. The view of Lake Minocqua is fantastic. The home itself is very tastefully done which makes it beautiful and very comfortable. We had a great time and look forward to booking it again!

Excellent location (close to Boathouse/Bosackis/Redman Realty's main location) - you are right next to downtown but because it is a one-way road, you don't get a lot of vehicle traffic, very quiet. Beautiful view of Lake Minocqua from front rooms and front patio - access to dock for easy pontoon/boat pick-ups. Very nice finished basement, plush carpet and excellent additional bathroom and shower with nice glass door. Love having full laundry side by side (not stackable set) and space to fold/organize. Beds are comfortable with new bedding. Very cool house, love the "catalog" history. Has updated HVAC/AC but kept the original vents from 1920s, just a nice touch. Already booked our week stay for next year - thank you!

The Perfect Island Cottage in Minocqua

We rented the Catalog Cottage and found it to be an incredibly charming and comfortable cottage in the heart of the Island City of Minocqua. The owners obviously care a great deal about this property and it shows in the way they have remodeled this gem with all the conveniences of today while retaining the charm of yesteryear. The beautiful view of Lake Minocqua is second to none and having your own pier to enjoy sunsets from or tie up you boat is fantastic! Plus the ability to walk to all the nearby shops, restaurants and the famous Bearskin Trail is a big added plus. Definitely one of the nicest rental properties we have ever seen.
