Our beautiful five bedroom home with four full bathrooms has everything you need for a relaxing upscale beach vacation. The home is professionally decorated and furnished and no expense has been spared. The home sleeps 12 guests comfortably. It is ideal for large families, those vacationing with multiple families, or families vacationing with friends. The master bedroom and upstairs front bedroom have king beds, while the downstairs and upstairs middle bedrooms feature queen beds. The fifth bedroom, known as the âbunk room,â includes two bunkbeds. With the exception of the bunk room, each bedroom has a flat panel HD Smart TV. Four of the bedrooms are located upstairs and the fifth bedroom is downstairs. Our master bedroom suite features a king bed, a flat panel HD Smart TV and a walk-in closet with built-ins. The adjoining master bathroom is truly a retreat. It is tastefully designed with stone finishes, a soaking bathtub, and a separate shower.
A golf cart is included in the rental allowing easy access to the beach and The Village of Baytowne Wharf. A second golf cart is available for an additional charge.
You have unlimited use of the Villa Lago neighborhood pool, which is less than 100 yards from the front door. The pool has a pool house with bathrooms, an outdoor shower, and plenty of lounge chairs for relaxing. Your stay also includes unlimited use of the new Sandestin Ownerâs Association (SAO) pool, officially called the Phil Hummel Aquatic Center. It is located about a mile from the house.
The home is the perfect beach haven for your family and friends. Gorgeous white travertine flooring cover the downstairs while hard wood span the upstairs. The kitchen offers every conceivable amenity such as stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and generous sink with pull-out spray faucet. The kitchen overlooks the living and dining areas, so you can share the details of your day at the beach while preparing your home-cooked meal. The dining table seats eight and the bar adjacent to the kitchen island seats four. The kitchen is also fully stocked with flatware, dishes, glasses, pots, pans, and cooking utensils.
The numerous windows in the dining and living rooms allow plenty of natural light into the home and an excellent view of the pond. The living room provides comfortable seating for everyone to gather around the 60â flat panel HD Smart TV. An additional upstairs lounge area boasts a flat panel HD Smart TV that is perfect for the younger generation to utilize while the parents enjoy the evening downstairs. The covered back patio offers an outdoor dining area with a propane grill and is an excellent place to enjoy a meal or evening drinks while overlooking the pond. There are six flat panel HD Smart TVs in the home, which allows access to Youtube, Pandora, Amazon, and Netflix.
The laundry room provides a stackable washer and dryer. Parking is available for two cars. If you bring more than two vehicles, then there is guest parking available in the resort's FREE overflow parking area and limited first-come-first-serve parking spots by the Villa Lago community pool.
Sandestin Resort, which is where our home is located, is hands down the best community on the Emerald Coast for a beach vacation. Our home is designed for family vacations. It covers all the bases of a Florida vacation as it offers something for everyone and does it in a very relaxing atmosphere. We think you will come to the same conclusion if you decide to stay with us.
Whatever age range makes up your party, we think our home will meet your needs. With the exception of the bunkroom, each bedroom can accommodate a PackâNâPlay and the master bedroom can accommodate two if desired. If you have children that can sleep in a bed, then we think you will find the two bunkbeds in the bunkroom to be the perfect sleeping arrangement. As said before, the house was designed with families in mind, so you should have plenty of room for a large group or family.
Our location in the Sandestin Resort is in the middle of everything, but also not in the main thoroughfare. We truly think it is the best location in Sandestin Resort and again, the Sandestin Resort is the best vacation spot in the entire area.
In the realm of shops, restaurants, etc, we have you covered. Our home is ideally located for all of it. One mile from the gates of Sandestin Resort is the Premium Outlet Mall. It has every outlet store you can imagine and we consider visiting it a mandatory part of our visits to Sandestin.
Right outside the Sandestin Resort gate closest to our home is the Grand Boulevard Town Center, which has several fine restaurants to include Flemingâs Steak House, P.F. Changâs, and Cantina Laredo, a very nice Publix grocery store, and retail shops such as Chicoâs, Brooks Brothers, DB Art Gallery, and J. Crew. You can drive the golf cart to it if you like. Most importantly, because Grand Boulevard is no more than 100 yards outside the gate of Sandestin, you can visit it without ever having to navigate the heavy summer traffic on Highway 98.
Baytowne Wharf, the lively "downtown" hub of Sandestin that includes everything from a carousel to a zipline and nightclubs, is probably our favorite part of the Destin area and just happens to be inside the gates of Sandestin Resort and only a 2 minute golf cart ride or 8 minute walk from our homeâs front door. It has restaurants that cover breakfast, lunch, and dinner, an ice cream shop, an arcade, and plenty of activities for kids of all ages. There are enough events and places in Baytowne Wharf to keep you busy for well over a week. We think you will find exploring the link worth your time.
In terms of the beach, we are a 12 minute golf cart ride to the beach. The golf cart is included in your stay and makes beach trips and traveling around the resort, especially to Baytown Wharf, very easy and convenient. You and your family can also take the tram to and from the beach as it is included in the rental as well. It is a short ride (10 mins or less) and picks you up only 200 yards from our front door and drops you off at the beach. Another option is to drive your car to the two free beach public parking lots in the Sandestin Resort. The car is a bit faster than the golf cart, so youâll make the drive in about 10 minutes. The two free parking lots are about 200 yards away from the beach. The actual distance from our house to the beach area is 2.5 miles, so walking is an option, but youâll have to allow time for it. Our family usually brings bicycles with us as we love riding them all over the Resort to include to the beach. It is about a 15 minute leisurely bike ride to the beach from our house.
Baytowne Marina, just on the other side of Baytowne Wharf from our house, offers boat, Wave Runner, paddle Board, and bicycle rentals. Many people choose to rent bikes for their entire stay. If you do so, you can store them in the garage right next to the golf cart.

The best part about all of this is it happens inside the safe and pedestrian friendly confines of the Sandestin Resort, which means you avoid all the heavy summer traffic on Highway 98, which is the main thoroughfare through the Destin area. To visit the beach or the beach side of the Resort, the golf cart and walking path takes you through a short tunnel underneath 98 and for your car, you just go out one Sandestin Resort gate, cross right over Hwy 98, and then right through the other Sandestin Resort gate back onto the property. Everything you need is inside the Resort or in the adjoining outdoor mall, Grand Boulevard, as mentioned above.
Sandestin boasts more than 7 miles of white sand beach and bayfront property, four championship golf courses, 15 world class tennis courts and 90 lakes that are great for fishing. Our home is in the Villa Lago neighborhood, which is a bright, beautiful development surrounded by the Baytowne golf course and within the gates of Sandestin Resort.
