Beach Within Reach is located close to the Silver Sands Factory Outlet, the nation’s large designer factory outlet featuring more than 100 name brand designer stores. Also close by is the Destin Commons with incredible eateries, upscale shopping, a park with pop up fountains at its center, and favorites like Bass Pro Shops and Hard Rock Cafe.

Grand Boulevard Town Center is a pedestrian-friendly, shopping and dining complex just off Emerald Coast Parkway, convenient to both SanDestin and Miramar Beach. For the high-end shopper, the center offers everything from Fusion Art Glass Gallery to Brooks Brothers Country Club. A number of boutiques, such as Hello, Sunshine and Magnolia House, carry fare you can't find anywhere else. Dining options include Mitchell's Fish Market, P. F. Chang's China Bistro, and Cantina Laredo Gourmet Mexican Food. In 2013, Walton County’s first movie theater opened at Grand Boulevard’s Town Center – the state-of-the-art Boulevard 10 Movie Theater.

If you are near Miramar Beach, the snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Dolphin Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 685 feet straight out from the Miramar Regional Public Beach access (by Pompano Joe's), it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Dolphin Reef is at a depth of 12-20 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

Not a romantic getaway

I didn't realize that the "townhouse" was connected to several other units when we booked. It felt more like a condo than an individual unit/house. Immediately on arrival we thought we were in the wrong place. The surrounding units appeared to be lived in and not very well kept. When we walked into the unit for the first time it was disappointing to see that you could not set the air set below 70⁰. The rooms are upstairs & it was difficult to cool. We closed the vents in the lower floors in attempt to get the top floor to a comfortable temperature. The ceiling fan did not work one night, although, they did respond to fix it immediately. I believe the remotes may be connected to neighboring units though, because the lights would switch on and off at random times when we were sleeping. We could hear everything through the walls of said neighboring units. There is also the issue of cleanliness. One of the pillows on the bed had a brown stain on the back of it. I sent a picture of it during the stay to notify, but got no response about it. There were dirty dishes/drinking glasses in the cabinet. The coffee table outside on the patio had coffee/tea/ something spilled on it. The patio door lock was broken. It felt more like we were staying at a cheap motel than a VRBO. You can tell that it is run by a management company versus an individual. More appropriate for a small family or group of friends instead of a quiet couples getaway.
