This vacation rental truly celebrates the shores of Smith Mountain Lake! The home has ample water frontage providing spectacular, panoramic views from the lakeside decks, kitchen, living, and dining room. The setting of 247 Peninsula Point Drive is superb, with the bonus of the wrap-around deck and plenty of sitting outdoor areas. Well situated in the resort to have both privacy and proximity to amenities.

The kitchen/dining/living/family rooms are all open concept allowing for more family fun and togetherness! Sleeping 10 comfortably in 5 bedrooms means plenty of room for everyone. An additional lower-level living room features an air hockey game and direct access to the yard, with the dock only steps away.

This home may be the experience where you don`t leave at all during your stay but instead grab groceries on your way in and enjoy complete `down time` hanging out, grilling, taking in sunsets, and gathering for happy hour. Now that`s a vacation! If you wish to venture out, there are multiple pools, beach access, a clubhouse, and tennis courts.

This three-level Townhome has 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. The loft holds an entire family suite with a King bed, full-size bath, a crib and 2 twin beds. A Keurig coffee maker, a mini fridge for wine and beer, and a private rooftop deck complete it. Perfect for a separate family sleeping area. The sleeping areas on the main level include a queen room en suite and a second bedroom with two twin beds.

The lower-level den includes a bar and an extra full-size refrigerator for handy snacks while gaming or coming in from the dock. This level has a King Bedroom with a full bathroom. The decks wrap around the entire side of both levels—lots of comfortable seating.

Liked the no- contact check-in. Loved the well stocked kitchen and two full size refrigerators. The 10 of us slept, ate, celebrated and recreated for 7 fabulous days. The kids loved the kayaks and paddle board, and air hockey. Observing the sunrises from the deck was the best.

Great Get A Way with Family & Friends -- Big Bass Tour

We had a great time and enjoyed our stay. Our husbands fished the Big Bass Tour and the ladies shopped, drank and relaxed. The townhouse was perfect. It is very spacious, clean and the location was amazing. The views from the townhouse were beautiful!! The men fished during the day while the wives relaxed, shopped and drank. In the evenings we enjoyed the decks while cooking out and having fun. We will definitely rent again!!

We liked Gunner’s Lookout very much. The views were amazing. The south facing was great for afternoons. Having a boat dock out front was a plus. The unit worked well for ourself and two daughters families. Each family had a floor of there own. The unit was well stocked and the furniture and beds comfortable. We hope to return.

Wonderful Trip!

We LOVED Gunner's Lookout - it is positioned in a wonderful spot in Bernard's Landing. This was our first time to Smith Mountain Lake, and we will definitely be back! Our kids enjoyed playing in the sand nearby and on the new dock directly behind the property. Gunner's was beautiful and well-maintained. We really enjoyed our time in the home. The hosts are especially kind and welcoming - they left us a nice gift when we had to reschedule our trip due to winter storms. Well-stocked and Covid safe!

Had an amazing vacation!

The views of the lake were simply amazing from the house. Very relaxing! The property was very clean and all instructions were written clearly. The neighborhood is pretty safe too. We'll definitely return in future!

Hosts Great, Bernards Landing not so much

The house was very nice, the hosts were great and very responsive! The only issue we had was with Bernards Landing and the maintenance of the dock/pier. It had a lot of problems that we complained about and then our 2nd to last day they came and boarded the dock so we couldn’t even use it. Unfortunately we will not stay in Bernards Lansing again.

Lovely lake location

Beautiful end unit townhome with ample space and all the conveniences of home. We enjoyed spending hours on the upper deck and lower outdoor area. Breathtaking views. Fabulous pickleball courts! We will return.
