Exceeded our expectations. Our first impression was the room was very fresh clean. The beds were comfortable. My husband likes his showers with hot water and a strong spray and he was not disappointed. We were exhausted after driving 650 miles the day before and slept past the ended of the breakfast hours but the area looked very nice and it appeared that there were several food options, including DIY Waffles. We would stay at this property again.

Check in was great. Hall carpets old and unraveling in places. Room was clean but bathroom door wouldn’t shut all the way. We couldn’t get the remote to work properly so I called down to get instructions and still couldn’t get it to work. Apparently there’s a trick to it. Desk clerk came up and she looked put out. Breakfast was not great. Microwave was broken. Ok instead of letting us all stand there trying to figure out why it’s not working put a sign on it or take it out. Everything was pretty much cold. Gravy on biscuits isn’t good cold. They did offer to heat it for us. Wth? Coffee carafe was empty. Couldn’t find plates. Tables weren’t wiped off. Horrible breakfast!

Dirty and disappointed

Pros: The convenience to I-20
Cons: MANY things- first and foremost the cleanliness. The morning front desk person also did not look or act professional. We will not stay there again.
Location: Many eateries, the Duck Commander warehouse, stores, gas stations.
The Comfort Inn in Monroe was a huge disappointment. The room we were in was very dirty. It had made beds, the standard travel size items out, and the towels stocked, but it was NOT clean. Right when we walked in we all noticed that there was a film you could feel on the entry tile- I am not sure if there was a mix up of the cleaning products, but that doesn't excuse the hair in the bathroom. We were very disappointed but also very tired after 8 hours of travel with little ones. This alone made us not want to eat the breakfast that is offered with the stay the next morning. We did go into the dining area and just had a bad feeling about cleanliness - everything just looked rushed and put together.

Pros: Clean, quiet, friendly staff. ... Just about everything.
Most comfortable motel stay I've had in years. Clean, clean, clean, quiet quiet quiet.
