Catalonia is directly on the ocean so that’s a huge plus; however, the resort is OLD and needs updates and repairs throughout the resort. Both elevators closest to our room were NOT working the entire 5 days. Buffett was fine and the food was fresh. The Buffett area was clean and the restaurant staff were friendly. Our room was cleaned daily and the a/c unit kept the room very cold!!! Bottle water was provided in our room daily by the resort.

Steve in the bar locations is amazing! The guys out front are amazing and friendly. The lifeguards are so great at what they do. And the lady who checked me in was so welcoming. I can’t believe how amazing the staff is.

Rohan the waiter at the Terrace restaurant was amazing. The folks at the tour desk were very nice. Joan the sales representative who try to sell us catalonia hotels package was friendly and knowledgeable. The food choices was very poor and buffet waitresses mostly poorly trained.

This hotel is upcoming but I loved my stay here. I’m a mother of two and we had such a blast. This is definitely a family resort, I’ve bonded with other families, there’s wasn’t much craziness like other resorts. I definitely recommend coming here if you’re bringing the family.
