Cozy & Safe Studio Apt Free Beach Access

Thank you for your interest in our studio apartment which is located at Seawind On the Bay, a gated community in Freeport, which is the safest residential area of Montego Bay.

The property is situated right next to the ocean and Montego Bay Yacht Club & Restaurant, as well Hard Rock Cafe Beach and Secrets Hotel.

Location is a short taxi ride (15 minutes) from the airport, 10 minutes to downtown Mobay. Closest Beach is across the road @ Hard Rock Cafe Beach (free access with provided card).

Simple and cozy studio with updated interior and furniture.

Freeport is the safest residential neighborhood in Montego Bay. It is located on peninsula surrounded by the ocean.

There is a beach across the road @ HardRock Cafe & Beach, which is free with card provided (as well 10% of your bill in beach's restaurant), otherwise 6$. Also there are more beach options by Secrets or Sunsplash Beach Hotels, also in walking distance, as well famous Aquasol and Dr Cave Beach ($6) about 10 minutes away. Please note, that you wont be able to access Secrets hotel unless you buy a day pass (ask for special deal which we were able to negotiate)*, except for the spa.
*Highly recommended, their water circuit and massages are amazing!

There are some excellent dining options within a walking distance as well. Yacht Club & Restaurant (closest), Hard Rock Cafe, HouseBoat Grill Restaurant (chef is awesome and has only one hand!), and Montego Freeport Shopping Center.

Within 5-10 min cab drive you can reach Jerky's (jerked chicken anyone ?), Fairview Plaza with restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy and coffee shops.

Pier 1 Club is also close by and great option for dinner and dancing ( most active Wed and Fri nights).

Famous Hip Strip (clubs, restaurants, casino and some hustlers of course) and Dr. Cave Beach (oldest and prettiest beach of Montego Bay) is within 7-10 min drive from Seawind/Freeport.

Equipped kitchen, some appliances, apartment comes fully furnished.

In addition, we can provide mobile WiFi ($5 per day), local cell phone (cost depends on the plan/phone of your choosing), We can arrange a private driver and professional tour guide anywhere on the island.

Airport pick up is $30 (one way) and $50 return, we wait for you as long as it takes.

VERY IMPORTANT: Beach card replacement cost is $100 USD. Please don't lose it, otherwise it will be charged against your security deposit.

Please treat our place as your own.

1.Please turn off the AC, every time you are leaving the apartment.
2.Strictly no smoking of any kind in the apartment however you are more than welcome to smoke outside on the patio or by common areas on the property.
3.It is very (very!) important not to leave any food items outside of the fridge at any time. Jamaican ants are always hungry and they also bite. Same goes with garbage, it better be packed in plastic bags and disposed on daily basis.
4.For internet access, please, see details provided or note on the fridge.
Crossed 0 is zero, not a crossed letter O. :). It is also provided on the back of the modem. Cable TV works when you press "Cable TV" on the remote.

Please relax and enjoy what Jamaica can offer, it is a magical country full of amazing and happy people, unless of course they are trying to hustle you a bit. :)

This is the safest location in Montego Bay (or Mobay), Jamaica on par with all inclusive hotels nearby. Community is fully gated with 24 hour security on premises, as well office staff during business hours.

It is an unique property on the water with a view of yachts and cruise ship terminal. It looks magnificent and somewhat unreal, when these "monster" ships are attempting to park by the pier across the bay.

The beach @ HardRock Cafe & Beach is across the road (free access with card provided ,otherwise $6)), also card might get you 10% of your bill @ Cafe.

Are you hungry ?

You can stop by Montego Bay Yacht club & Restaurant which is 3 minutes away on foot. Other options are Hardrock Cafe (across the road) and Houseboat Restaurant & Grill (5 minutes away in route taxi).

Grocery shopping is available @ Fairview plaza 5-7 minutes short route taxi ride from the place, a well cinema theater, pharmacy and hardware store.

Additional Beach Options:
There is famous Dr. Cave Beach, Aquasol beach as well Dead-end Beach (where Jamaicans go to chill or check on planes landing at the airport) on the Bottom Road (after Hip Strip, where majority of clubs, restaurants, casino and other activities available), it is 10-15 minutes away from Seawind.

If you are looking for pointers or unique experience, please don't hesitate to ask. This is our country, we know it all.

You can rent the car @ the airport or inquire about private competitive offers. We can help you with driver we trust for pickup/drop off or even for the entire visit to Jamaica.

There are private taxis available at the airport, as well @ Sunset Beach Hotel. Get your negotiating skills in order if you would like to utilize this option !

There are also so called route taxis (cheapest option), which have short routes between Airport and Downtown and Freeport/Seawind. Prepare for sharing the ride with 3-4 more people, but the pricing can't be beaten ! For example to get to Hip Strip, you will need to take two route taxes fro a "whooping" price of $2USD combined ($120JA x 2). One from Freeport to Downtown and then switch to another taxi from Downtown to Hip Strip.

IMPORTANT: Smoking is not permitted inside of the unit.
Please use the patio.

IMPORTANT: Clean sheets and towels are provided. If you get makeup or other permanent stains on the towels you will be charged $15USD per towel and $40USD per sheet set.

IMPORTANT: The apartment is self-catered. We provide soap and toilet paper at check-in only. If you run out, please, buy your own. Closest shopping plaza is Fairview and it is just 5-7 minutes route taxi ride from our apartment complex.

IMPORTANT: Please respect the check-in and check-out times.
We cannot check in before 3pm (1500) unless you have checked with us and got approval with us in seven (7) days in advance.
Check out is at 11am (1100) sharp due need to prepare the property for next guest, which takes a few hours.
Regretfully, we can't store luggage due lack of space.

We don't have laundry in the unit, however there is coin laundry machine in the complex. You can buy coins from the security at the gate ($300 JA or $2.30 USD) per use.
