SCAM- stay away

I booked on Hotels.com and paid in full for the entire Villa. When I arrived, the owner said she didn’t list the property on Hotels.com, only Airbnb. She lives there now, with her family. She said this listing must have been done by someone else years ago. Meanwhile, my family had nowhere to stay on a weekend when the whole city was booked out. Had to spend almost 4x to get another place at the last minute. As I type, Hotels.com still hasn’t removed the listing. Unbelievable.
