My family and i stayed at RIU for 5 days during a funeral in Sept, even though it was such a short stay(unfortunately) but we were quite impress with the attention we received at Riu Montego from the staff who was exceptional, rooms clean and spacious and the food was wonderful, Thank you Riu! hope there was not too much damage from Mellissa if so a great recovery to you and Jamaica🇯🇲

My stay here was during Hurricane Melissa so things were different for us. Our first two days on the resort were amazing before the storm hit. The private beach, pools, swim up bar were all amazing, staff was great, very kind and beautiful people. The food was 4/10 only because it was bland and lacked seasoning but I think they make it that way to accommodate all people, there was a good variety though. The staff did great during and after the storm in my opinion, they were definitely prepared for Melissa. Our trip was extended from 4 to 9 days, we had to travel to Kingston to get back to the US it was definitely a vacation for the books!
