I found the staff who worked in the Spa and dining area much more helpful, knowledgable and friendly than the front desk/customer service. Travelling from the hotel RIU Montego Bay to down town Montego Bay on the “hip strip” can be expensive using hotel shuttle ( $40 U.S. round trip. The conversion rate for exchanging U.S. currency for Jamaican dollars was approximately $132 Jamaican dollars for 1 U.S. at the RIU Montego Bay.(The official rate is actually $160 Jamaican to 1 U. S. at the local banks) If I wanted my bed to be made and room cleaned. I had to call front desk to make that request a couple times during my stay. I also found a cockroach in the bathroom. Other than that I enjoyed the food and the nightly entertainment shows.
