Good motel for an overnight stop and go. Is old, so its showing it's age and needs maintenance... quiet location which is good, and solid old brick so noise is minimum...

Lovely hot pools, rooms okay - poor management
The Artesian Basin hot pools were great - there is also a cold pool - all lovely. Room quality was variable some quite good and comfortable others pretty basic. However we had a real problem with mansgement. The staff couldn’t find our booking for a second room so we booked and paid for another second room separate to our Hotels.com booking. The second Hotels.com booking was later found after we had checked into and paid for the other room. Management wanted us to pay for this room too and had already in fact charged us for one night in this room. So we had paid for 3 rooms when we only ever booked two and were only using two. Hotels.com were excellent in helping to negotiate a resolution - which was ultimately only partially successful.

This property is probably 2.5 stars because the rooms are too small and the standard of maintenance evidenced by repairs on towel rails etc is very poor, reflecting an unwillingness of owners to invest in the upkeep of the property. The artesian pools were a pleasant surprise and surprisingly well maintained. Overpriced for this standard of accommodations.

It's unfortunate they had a fire last year the destroyed the dinning facility but it looks like progress is on the way for a fresh new space The room on the other hand are in need of some TLC Electric cord hanging from AC unit AC unit while the filter was clean the rest of the AC was filthy The BED is soft some say too soft I felt like I dropped 6 inches when I lay on it woke up with a sore back No tea or coffee in the room plenty of cups and plates though, I was offered milk at check in Power outlet over the bed coming off the wall Drain in shower was slow so water started to pool at my feet No face washers Curtain didn't reach the floor so light comes in when closed Pay extra for river view over the courtyard view the only view I had was a broken fence and 3 old hot water units

The room was clean and fresh - quite small but perfect for the overnight stay we were there for. Comfy bed. No road traffic noise at all. Aircon struggled a little but was fine after a few minutes. Staff very friendly and helpful (I also had an after-hours check-in). Mostly - the thermal pools at this place are amazing and make this place a must stay - just be mindful this motel has been around for quite some time offering this amazing experience, so you will get an “older” traditional small country-style motel room with the experience ❤️
