Stylish hotel with stellar staff
Pros:The staff, the room, the ambiance and the great location.
Cons:Hotels like this need double glazed windows to cut down on the road noise.
Location:In the center of everything. Very easy to walk the entire historic area from this location.
The hotel is perfectly located, just a block from the main cathedral and close to a number of good restaurants The hotel has a restaurant that is good for breakfast but there are better options nearby. Try restaurant Lu across from the plaza next to the cathedral in the Hotel Casino.
The staff was simply excellent on all fronts, can't say enough good about the main daytime reception head, "Arturo." The room was very clean and comfortable, the only problem being road noise from the side street. Try for a room on the right side or rear as you face into the hotel from the street. Beds were comfortable. Definitely plan on returning.
One word of warning--if traveling by car there is no driveway or the usual entrance most are used to. You pull up to the front door and put on your flashers and the valet comes out, helps unload the car and takes it to secure parking. Look for the doorway next to the pizza place, about 20 feet back from the corner as you pull up.
