No ventilation at all - very stuffy in the room. The air-conditioning did not work at all. When we complained, reception simply told us air-conditioning is not available in this season. But they gave us no warning when we checked in, and clearly it wasn't just the lack of air conditioning - no air was coming out from the air vent at all. We could open the window, but the street noise made it impossible to sleep. We booked 2 rooms, and we all had the same problem. I've never left such a bad review, but do not book this hotel.

Air Conditioning a severe let down

Pleasant and efficient check in, although there was a strange smell in lobby. Room clean and good size. However, A/C set to its lowest rating achieved nothing. This made room hot and uncomfortable and spoilt the stay. The weather was not as hot as it could be, so goodness know what it would be like in peak summer. Breakfast was good, and slightky varied each day. Staff at breakfast pleasant and efficient. No English language tv channels, neither did there seem to be any Japanese news channels. Car parking was not clear - maybe hotel has deal with nearby car park where they eeimburse you, but would be good if this could be clearly explained on their website. Anyway, I found a nearby car park which was 500y between 17:00 and 09:00. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Overall, a decent hotel, and would have given it a much better review if ac was working properly.

They did share a parking nearby which cost me only 700yen for a day.... Despite its age, the size is relatively large and very clean. Bfast was simple but nice

Great rooms, the queen size bed was comfortable and the room had plenty of room to breathe, unlike many other locations. Price was unbeatable and the breakfast wasn’t too shabby for roughly $10 per adult. Close to the castle ruins, a 7-11, mall and many restaurants. If we make our way back to Morioka, this definitely will be at the top of my list!

The only issue was that in the lobby there was a diesel or mechanical smell. Everything ekse was good.

The room was very warm despite setting the AC at 20*C (lowest it would go). When we talked to the front desk tgey said its central AC but offered us a portable AC unit to cool the room down. It didnt work cery well and we both sweated through our 2 nights there. Otherwise nice hotel and location.

Excellent Staff. I would like to say thank you very much again to the gentlemen on duty on 12th July. I carelessly parked at a Monthly parking space and he helped me to call the car park company and solve the possible penalty problem. Comfortable stay.

Superior double room is spacious by Japanese standards. Comfortable & clean. Simple no frills hotel. Hotel is not near station. Taxi to & from morioka station is affordable, between ¥600 - ¥800 one way. Breakfast is surprisingly good. Especially their French toast & thick yogurt drink. Must try! There’s a restaurant opposite on the right that sells Nattosoba & gyoza. Highly recommend checking it out too.

I come to morioka often and this is so far now my favorite hotel. The room is big for Japan hotels, comfortable bed, clean room, clean bathroom and close to nice shops/restaurants. Staff knew enough English to help me which is very nice. Will definitely be going back.
