We had a lovely short break at this cottage. It is set on a lovely holiday park with play area and lake and is a great base for going off exploring for the day. The lodge was very clean and in great condition. Beds were comfortable and appreciated the welcome bowl of goodies and drinks and games and books to borrow while we stayed. I had to contract the host a couple of times and got quick and helpful responses. The only thing we werenât made aware of if that Mondays are horrible clean and refill day so was a little surprised when we found out water supply had stopped for the whole morning. If we had been pre-warned we would have headed out for the day and planned accordingly. Otherwise itâs a great place to stay and would definitely stay here again.
We particularly enjoyed the rear decked area. It's private and next to pine trees and birch. Like sitting in a forest. Only spoilt by the extractor fan noise and smells of the adjacent pub.Lovely accommodation with two bathrooms, a large lounge and well appointed kitchen.Nice touches such as dog poo bags and dog biscuits. The park entrance is too narrow and speed bumps shoot you out of your seat at the slowest speeds. The kitchen tap drips and despite several WiFi Internet devices, none worked. Maybe bin or get a working system?Friday and Monday mornings the taps run dry. Due to cleaning for change over day. It's inconvenient and also unsanitary. The site could use a small shop? The lake is very natural and a lovely short walk. Another short walk through the trees.
