Kohler's Cottage is one of the best locations in Murrell's Inlet. The house is within 2 blocks of 4 of the best restaurants/bars in the area: The Hot Fish Club(great seafood and live music), Nance’s, Russell’s, Provisions. Murrells Inlet Seafood(market) is 1 block north. Our cottage is directly on the inlet with a boat dock, an in ground pool, screened porch and covered deck with outdoor kitchen with a gas grill and gas fire pit for luxury entertainment overlooking Murrells Inlet. Morse’s Park is located next door. A 7ft fence ensures total privacy. Back deck is the BEST place for morning coffee and beautiful sunrises!!

Nature Lover Paradise
Our family stayed during Spring Break, the first week of April. We avoid "tourist trap" type places with tons of traffic, and this place was a great location for that. There was some traffic of course, but nothing like Garden City or Myrtle Beach. We also love visiting nature centers, taking walks, and enjoying the scenery. We visited Brookgreen Gardens, only a 5 minute drive away, nearly every day, and also Huntington Beach State Park. The view from the back deck of the house is breathtaking. We spent every morning watching the sunrise over the marsh while drinking coffee. There is so much amazing nature watching! Many types of birds, we even saw a bear one morning while the tide was down! Bring binoculars! In the evenings, we grilled and ate dinner on the back porch area. There is a popular restaurant next door which didn't bother us. The fencing makes it so you can't really see the cars or crowds, and we couldn't hear the live bands from inside the house on the weekend. This is a well-loved beach house - it is not brand sparkling new but has been taken care of nicely. The owners are very nice and responsive to messages. Our family had a fantastic vacation and made so many great memories. South Carolina is a magical place!

Beautiful Location.
I really struggled on how to write this review. I really want to be fair. My husband and I stayed for four nights and the cost was over $1800 so based on the description and the cost we had very high expectations. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. We had an issue getting in as we were given the wrong lockbox code but it was rectified quickly. The hosts also allowed us to go in early on check in day. Inside the home was immaculately clean. Outside not so much. Not much you can do about all the pollen but outside needed maintenance etc Location was stunning, we watched the sunrise and it was amazing. Unfortunately you are literally next door to a bar with live music at the weekend so it’s loud and busy. My biggest issue was the property needed a lot of TLC, the smoke alarm in the master was hanging off. The fan broken…in fact I would say there was a major electric issue in the home. The outstanding de lights didn’t work in the porch and one fan missing and the other had half the paddles gone. Inside the house the oven was rusty so we couldn’t use it and the dishwasher also not functional. Lots of holes in the netting and chipped light switches etc. Master bedroom was very dark as the headboard which was not attached to the bed covered the only window. Only one bedside table and it needed more power strips that actually worked. Many of these fixes are easy and for the premium price charged should have been done.

Great family getaway!
This was a fantastic place to getaway with family for a few days! We had 2 infants in our group, and the pool and park next door made for a great, baby-friendly vacation. The house was clean and comfortable, and the view and location were fantastic.

I’ll never stay anywhere else!! 🤗
I’ve been visiting the Myrtle Beach area my entire life and we always made a trip to Murrells Inlet to have dinner on the waterway. But I’ve never vacationed there. I actually own a condo in Myrtle Beach but it was totally booked when I decided that my two adult kids and myself would get away. So I came across this place and lol it’s likely I’ll never stay at my own place again. This was like being in your own little heaven. We wondered if we would miss seeing the ocean but we didn’t. We LOVED seeing the inlet and all the Charlie birds, that’s what I’ve called cranes since I was a child. We so enjoyed the porch and basically camped out on if from the time we got up, having our coffee and mimosas, through the afternoon, while we enjoyed the pool, had dinner out there, then another nighttime swim and a late night movie. Oh and the lightening storms over the marsh were amazing! We never even had to drive to a restaurant. Lots of good ones are in walking distance, the best one right next door!! This cottage has everything you need as well as being beautifully furnished and decorated! I can’t wait to go back. I can’t say enough about this cottage. The manager is great and replied to any questions we had within 10-20 mins. I’m already looking at dates to go back for a girlfriends long weekend!! We used BEACH SERVICES LTD to set up a cabana and chairs for us to enjoy the beach/ocean. It was awesome and worth every penny. All we had to do was drive to the parking area that had bathrooms. Walked down on the beach and our set up was waiting on us. So easy! They will even provide a ice filled cooler if you book the day before. Don’t hesitate to book this cottage… you won’t regret it!!

Exactly what we needed
What a great house and the best location. I have never stayed in Murrells Inlet ever in my life and now it is the only place I'll stay when visiting Myrtle Beach. House was great, nice private space, great pool and located by some awesome restaurants literally within rock throwing distance. Host was great and made us feel at home. Really cool and great house.

Great vacation
Beautiful location! Pool was amazing! We very much enjoyed our stay. Property manager was EXTREMELY responsive! Would stay again. Would recommend a little deep cleaning off porches, couches and some outlet repair. Also recommend some power strips by beds. A checkout list would be helpful to make sure patrons do everything manager would like done upon checkout. All that said, so grateful for this property!!
