The rooms have been remodeled & are relatively nice inside. However, the bed was extremely hardâso much so that I bought mattress pad from Walmart to make it through my five-night stay. One plus is that it was very quiet overall. There were no loud parties or disturbances; the guests stayed to themselves, quietly. During the week, construction workers stay there & after work, they hang out in the parking lot until late, but they were low-key & friendly. Also, I bought a fan to muffle sound in case of noise, but didnât end up needing it for thatâit added a bit of comfort & familiarity, like I have at home.
Due to flight issues, I didnât arrive until the day after my scheduled check-in. Fortunately, the staff held my room, which I appreciated. On the day after I checked in, I requested a late check-out because I had to work remotely, & leaving at 11:00 a.m. would have been very disruptive. I offered to pay for an extra night just to stay until 3:00 p.m. The owner/manager initially told me, âWeâll work something out,â & never took payment; I never saw him again! On the last day, the staff began calling & knocking on my door to check out while I was in the middle of a virtual work meeting; frustrating & unprofessional! I realize most professionals wouldnât choose to stay there, however, I chose to stay here because my employer covered a few nights & I paid for the remaining nights so I could visit friends. While it was affordable, I wonât be staying here again.
The man that checked me in at 4:50 pm was rude... There was never any information about a 75$ deposit... Maybe train staff to be more efficient in guest service...
The room itself seemed to be clean when we arrived, but quite a few issues with the property as I'll explain.
- As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by the pungent smell of midle-eastern cooking which permeates the main lobby area and hallways, even up to the second floor farthest point away from the lobby area where our room was.
- No hot water at night, only warm, so I had to take warm showers. I notified the staff and they said two days in a row,"we're having an expert come and look at that first thing in the morning" . There was no hot water at night for the 4 nights we were there.
- No aerator in the bathroom sink, water came flying out at full force, so you had to be careful.
- Bathtub was coming apart, floor was peeling severely.
- big hole in the side of the shower wall where they pulled removed the old shower head but didn't fill in.
- I was in the shower and a bunch of rust/fine sand came out and covered my head, I had to run the water until it stopped and take another shower... again luke warm...
-all staff looked like they just rolled out of bed, with unkempt clothes and personal hygiene.
- There was no door striker plate on our door, just the door frame itself.
- I asked the manager for a partial refund but was told that Expedia would have to do that.
Now I realize this was a Days Inn amd not a JW Marriott. That being said, the property seemed to be recently renovated. The rooms were comfy, lighting was above average in the room - which is a definite plus. Bed was comfy, AC unit in room looked brand new amd worked well. Bathroom was in excelent shape as well. Outdoor pool was out of comission, but its still early in OK. I also noticed that when I went to the breakfast area, the door was closed, lighta were off and there were no tables and chairs - perhaps they are still working on that area? Overall for spending 12 hours to watch some TV and get a decent nights sleep, I cant complain - its was priced affordably for what I was honestly looking for. Staff was very friendly when I checked in.
When I was walking in to check in, there was dog poo on the sidewalk. I went to take a shower the next morning, and I had no shower curtain. First time thatâs ever happened. I didnât have any washcloths either. The next morning, the tray that holds the coffee bag, for my in room coffee pot, was just gone. I did ask for a late check in, and they saved my room, as I couldnât check in until 8pm.
The hotel was very clean and very nice and up to date. Staff was also very nice.
The lobby always smelled like something being cooked with garlic every time I walked through. I almost wanted to ask if I could have some. lol
Donât let the outside or old, pre-renovation reviews scare you. The rooms are clean and remodeled. The exterior, especially the closed pool are not. If all you need is a bed for the night youâll save a few bucks here.
I did not like getting charged double. I did not like the breakfast not being available. The websites said complimentary breakfast, and there was no breakfast.
They have really great prices and the rooms are very nice looking. I have used this hotel couple times before and the cleanliness is outstanding! Only complaint this time is that the shower/bathtub was dirty and shower curtain. there was a very thick chalky film on the floor of the bathtub and the wasnât able to take a bath for daughter or my self. she is to young for a shower. otherwise great place to stay.
Points faibles : Service et personnel, confort de la chambre
You get what you pay for
The rooms were clean enough, but there was a lot of ambient noise from other guests. The rooms are not well sound insulated at all. There's also no breakfast, no pool, it's really just a bare bones hotel room
