Ashworth Oceanfront 3BR, Walk to Beach Bars, Main Street, Great Dining

The Ashworth is a fantastic property, built by Drake Development it has all of the amenities that you are looking for in an oceanfront WiFi, including indoor and outdoor pools, lazy river and kiddee pools, plus a fitness room. Property has WI-Fi
and cable TV including all new flat screen tvs with DVD in each bedroom and a larger 42 inch flat screen in the living room, also with DVD and a TV in each bedroom. The unit was just partially remodeled in 2013 and again in 2016. It is a very nice 3BR oceanfront condo. It is located in the Ocean Drive section of North Myrtle Beach. Ocean Drive is known as the Shag Capital (SC state dance) which originated in OD in the 50s and is danced to the local beach music. Beach music and the Shag is still danced in the Beach Clubs located a short walk away on Main Street. Main street is a mix of unique shops, restaurants, ice cream shops, and beach ware shops all situated in the very quaint aura of Ocean Drive. In the past few years they have just re-opened the OD Pavillion and Amusement Park. It is the only oceanfront amusement park in the area. It is smaller sized and very family oriented. It is for sure a don't miss.

Also pets are not allowed nor is the discharge of fireworks from the property, nor is the use of laser pointers.) THIS BUILDING DOES NOT ALLOW SMOKING AND IS DESIGNATED A NON-SMOKING UNIT. This unit has a minimum age requirement of 25 years of age and the booking is to a group of individuals then all persons in a group have to be over the age of 25 years. This does not apply to mother and fathers with children albeit in those cases the parents must be over the age of 25. Rental Agreement is required!

Loved our stay!
We loved the unit, it was clean, plenty of space for 4 adults and 1 infant. We had to call the property manager for a new iron (the one in the unit was burned on the bottom) by the time we arrived back from dinner, it was in the unit. Parking was no issue, plenty of spaces. The only complaint is the the appliances are really dated, the unit definitely needs a new stove. This following is just useful information for others not complaints: bring your own toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap. Depending on how often you run the dishwasher; you are furnished 2 Finish tablets. Hand soap, trash bags, you have a regular coffeemaker (no K cups), laundry detergent.

Property is older but well maintained. Had a nice vacation with extended family with daily visits to the beach, pool, and area restaurants. Condo was comfortable and had more kitchen items than most. Nothing to do with the unit or host, but Security on the ground floor was a bit much; friendly but enforcing pool bracelets and asking girls if they were 14 yet when they were clearly 18+ — then laughing about how it was a joke —

Nice but had some flaws
Pros: great location, clean, good communication with property manager Cons: small bedrooms (no room for luggage), said it provided towels (3 washcloths for 2 people for 7 days is not really providing towels), knives in kitchen couldn't even cut vegetables (we ended up having to buy our own so we could cook), you couldn't enjoy the balcony because of the smell of marijuana (which i understand that they can't control) Overall, we enjoyed our stay but compared to other places we have stayed, this unit cost the most and provided the least as far as towels, paper goods, cleaning supplies, cooking supplies, etc.

The unit was not cleaned as good as it could have been. I got a sewing needle go all the way through my big toe and the beds need new mattress. Great location and would come back if it had new mattresses.

Location was great...but...
The location of this property was great but the condo itself is in dire need of renovation/upgrade all the way around. Mold in the kitchen and master bath, rusted appliances in the kitchen and the refrigerator and stove are both a joke! It was a nice condo but for what we paid for a week, I expected better.

Ashworth property was in a good location and looked very nice, our condo met our expectations and needs. Properties that get a lot of use, need a good cleaning at least once or twice a year, plus some upgrading,. Property manager were very good and responded quickly to our needs, Would stay again.

Wonderful Place
This place was so nice. Very short walk to some local shops. It had everything we needed for the week and did not feel crowded at all! The view from the balcony was amazing. The people there were also nice. Hope to come back next year!
