Luxury hotel price but coming with a cheap hostel level of service and facilities. The baths have broken down and are unusable. In five nights we didn't get new towels or sheets. Trash was often full in public areas, and within the sight of the manager. No food available. Rooms have frosted windows facing the hallway which means the room never gets completely dark. Wouldn't stay here again.
All the staff at NOZAWA DREAM were so amazing. They were all kind and always treated me and my family members with a smile.
It made my trip with my family very very memorable.
Thank you, NOZAWA DREAM!
This was my 2nd and my wife's 4th visit to Nozawa Onsen, and Nozawa Dream tops the list of places we have stayed. We were very happy with our choice.... well-priced, GREAT staff excellent value breakfasts, spacious & comfortable tatami rooms. And importantly for skiing, the best drying room we have come across - with a spacious basement and seating (around a heater) for putting on your boots. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
And a special thank you to Alessandra who spent quite some time with us sorting out the best way to store/send our ski gear on so we are hands-free while doing a cherry blossom tour for a few weeks.
Great location close to the bus, main street, and ski lifts. Rooms were clean and basic (you sleep on tamati mats on the floor). Communal showers and toilets. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Really good Japanese style accomodation. Similar to a western Bed and Breakfast style accomodation but with futon style mattresses rolled out on the floor with 3 people the rooms were good, 4 in a room would be a bit cramped but you aren't really spending a great deal of time in your room anyway.
Theres limited breakfast options around Nozawa so recommend taking up the breakfast offer, it was about 800 yen per day, it was basic but still good and for convenience sake well worth it.
