1. Check in: At the reception window, I have presented a copy of hotel.com reservation confirmation. The receptionist, presumably an owner, says that I get only breakfast. I showed him hotels.com confirmation showing âbreakfast and dinnerâ. He insisted that he will call Expedia for confirmation. Later he called my room and said that I get 2 meals a day but did not apologize.
2. Room: I have never seen a room so dirty in Japan. As per the photos, carpet could not be dirtier. A tiny sofa was so dirty that I could not even touch it. Dirty mattresses were not covered at all but had futon on it.
3. Staffs: whatever I ask, all I hear from them is âitâs written in the room.
4. Dining: dinner was served at 5:45. Yes 5:45 and thatâs it. I have seen the system except at the military training camp. Some tables were provided with a hot pot but not mine. Breakfast was served the same way at 7:45.
5. Hot spring: the place had a filthy small tub. The next morning, I found out they close the tub whole day until 3:30 in the afternoon. We went out and looked for a local public onsen and paid for it. When I checked out they charged me separately for my using onsen. I donât remember I read about extra bath charge when booking at hotels.com website.
6. Comfort: I booked a âsuperior room with a bathroomâ. A shared bathroom was next to my room and made noise whole day. Young guests didnât go to bed and went around yelling whole night. It was horrible.
