Wonderful outdoor space

This property has a wonderful outdoor space. It is dog friendly and has a dog play area. The pool and hot tub space are great. Easy access to beach makes morning walks easy.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: we have rented here for years & continue to notice the slowdeterioration that seems up & beyond the usual wear & tear of a rental home at the seashore. The overall cleanliness is very unsatisfactory; the bedding, carpets, and fabric furniture has never been replaced, and clearly not "switched out" or washed with the weekly turnover, just the sheets and towels only. Needs a more consistent "handyman" upkeep for sliding doors, screen holes, outside decking upkeep, etc. Still missing dishwasher silverware bins. Never an adequate vacuum cleaner for me to assist in cleanliness either.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very nice home. Great views, good location. The linens that were supplied when we arrived were not packaged and in poor condition. There were 3 Refrigerators, and only 1 had the water supply on to make ice! The pool was not heated, even after the pool guy showed up to work on it. The elevator was a blessing, made it so much easier with luggage and groceries. We had great time and will definitely be back. Thanks to Beach Reality!!!

Disgusting! Filthy! And in need of updating !

Stayed for 2 weeks. Arrived 2 weeks after hurricane Matthew, and there was sand everywhere. Place was not very clean but not much you can do with out dated furniture etc. Needs to be updated! Upon our arrival the dog run and volleyball court was loaded with dog poo! Sand all over the hot tub. The windows were so filthy you could not see out of them. The worst part was the mouse running everywhere, and it's droppings on the main bedrooms bed on the top floor. I would not recommend this home to friend nor foe! The realty office tried to help with our complaints but we just gave up calling on a daily basis with complaints! The dining room chairs where broken, the couch ripped my pants and cut my son in laws leg because of nail sticking out! From what I am told the owner didn't really care and put band aids on everything they repair! Disgusting!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was very spacious and the views were wonderful. Walked the beach every day with my dog. There would be alot more to do and see in warmer weather. It was perfectly located between our two favorite restaurants, The Kill Devil Grill and the Blue Moon Beach Grill and right by the Nags Head fishing pier. I would suggest changing out the pedestal sinks in the bedroom baths for storage vanities so there is room to put your toiletries. There were a few minor things wrong when we arrived but were taken care of in a timely manner by a wonderful staff, especially Josh, the maintenance guy, who took the time to talk to us old folks. And it could've been a little cleaner, but all in all we had a great time.

Reviewer Comments: For over 25 years I have been coming to the Outer Banks and I honestly believe that this was the nicest property that we have ever stayed in. Beach Reality was a joy to deal with and The Good Life rental lived up to its name. The interior is beautifully decorated and the numerous amenities, (pool, hot tub, and game room) kept everyone busy. The location of this property worked out really well for those heading out to other activities. Thanks so much for a fantastic week.

Reviewer Comments: Everything was great. Couple of comments for constructive feedback. The pool hadn't been vacuumed prior to our arrival and the chlorine disks were gone by Thursday evening. I went to a local pool supply and bought two disks to avoid guests getting sick since it wouldn't be serviced till after we left. TV's were small and outdated for the various rooms.

One of the bathroom doors was locked when we arrived, there were no useable pots of pans (all were rusty), one of the dishwashers did not work and one of the refrigerators was leaking water on the floor. The on-line photos are about out of date as well. Everything was fixed very quickly by the management company and overall we had a great vacation.
