Incredible that hotels.com even accepts a place like this on their website! It says 3,5 star hotel, but is neither a hotel nor in the vicinity of even 2 stars. It is a bedroom in a private house, on the sunny side in the evening which makes it intolerably hot at night, and without aircon or even a fan. We were able to get the host to get us a sort of fan, but it was really a small portable heater kind of thing (used without the heater element) with a very inefficient fan. There was no breakfast and the kitchen looked terrible, full of unwashed dishes and remains of dinner from what looked like several days. I asked if I could put our water bottles in the refrigerator which was OK, but of no use since they pulled out the plug as soon as we left the kitchen. Nothing in the bathroom worked, no light, cold water in the shower, WC did not flush properly and the tap on the sink constantly leaked and made big pools on the floor which made it extremely slippery and dangerous. The restaurant mentioned is in the mall 1200 metres away. Our first reaction was to claim a full refund and get out of there at once, but as it was during the Easter there was nothing relevant to find. A total disaster with a ridiculous name which has significantly reduced my confidence in the services of hotels.com.
This was staying in someoneâs house. The swimming pool was approximately ÂŁ3.00 a day. So when it said home stay I thought that was just the name. I was literally renting a room
