Great hotel and location!
Hotel Monday was great! The staff was so kind, the room was very comfortable, breakfast was good, it was a minute walk to the subway, a coffee shop, and convenience and grocery store, and less than 5 minutes to a bus stop. Also, they offer a courtesy shuttle to the Katsuoji golden leaf temple. We would definitely stay here again!

Hotel looks very nice, great presentation and clean, close to shops and subway line. Walking distance to nishiki markets and castles. Room was a bit cramped for a family of four but it was good for each one of us to have our own bed. Rooms were clean and tidy with everything we needed. Breakfast buffet had good variety of Japanese and western choices.

The dryer machines' lint filters were not clean and clogged up. The lint should be removed daily so that guests utilizing the drying machines can have their laundry dried properly and without wasting too many coins.

Convenient, near amenities and places of interests
The place is conveniently located with many dining options nearby. It is also walking distance of about 5min to Kyoto Imperial Garden and 15min walk to Nishiki market. The rooms that we were given had frosted windows and it felt a little claustrophobic. For the price paid, I think it is a little under value for money. But perhaps this is because it is Kyoto where things are more expensive compared to Osaka? The housekeeping can be better as I could see leftover band-aids under the beds. But still nice as there's laundry coin services and overall a comfortable stay.
