A Cozy Retreat: The Water Lily, a Perfect Hideaway with Pool

This cottage is set in a protected Natura 2000 area, perfect for peace and relaxation, on a 2-hectare property of woods and canals. Le Bas Marais is in the Marais Poitevin, south of Vendée—a perfect hideaway to enjoy the pool in the morning and the ocean’s salt air in the afternoon.



Just 20 minutes from Luçon, 40 minutes from Vendée’s sandy beaches, 45 minutes from La Rochelle, Île de Ré, and La Roche-sur-Yon, 25 minutes from Lake Mervent, its zoo and Vouvant, and 1 hour from Puy du Fou.



This intimate, welcoming cottage sleeps 2. Enjoy a bright living room with TV and a fully equipped kitchen (washing machine, electric oven, microwave). There’s one bedroom with a double bed (140 x 190) and a spacious bathroom.



Next to the Tournesol cottage, each accommodation has a private back garden separated by shrubs, a terrace, barbecue, garden furniture, and loungers, all facing the canal.



The heated, secure pool is open from mid-May to late September (weather permitting), 9:30 am–9 pm.



Outdoor games are available: soccer, badminton, ping-pong, volleyball, darts, swing, slide, Molkky. Bicycles are provided, and you can enjoy a boat trip on the Hollandais canal.



Fishing enthusiasts are welcome—bring your own gear. Free Wi-Fi.



Pets are not allowed.



Bed and bath linen can be booked in advance, available for an extra fee, with beds made up on arrival. Baby essentials are provided free on request (made-up cot, high chair, bathtub).



Underfloor electric heating is available for an extra fee.



Some basic supplies are provided free of charge.
