A Woodland Cabin Retreat Surrounded by 23 Acres of Nature

Welcome to 8 Does A Dancin’, a peaceful cabin tucked within 23 private wooded acres in beautiful Brown County, Indiana. Surrounded by forest, rolling hills, and a quiet private pond, this inviting retreat offers a place to slow down and reconnect with nature while still being close to the shops and restaurants of Nashville, Indiana.

As you travel up the private drive, it’s not uncommon to spot deer wandering through the trees—a reminder of the peaceful setting that makes this property so special. The cabin welcomes guests with warm rustic charm and comfortable spaces designed for relaxing after a day exploring Brown County.

Inside, the living area features plush seating and a large-screen TV, making it a cozy place to gather for movie nights or quiet evenings indoors. A beautiful Brown County stone wood-burning fireplace rises to the vaulted ceilings, creating a dramatic centerpiece that fills the room with warmth and classic cabin character.

Peaceful & secluded getaway!

My husband and I stayed for 4 days and just wanted to get away by ourselves for our 27th wedding anniversary somewhere peaceful and secluded and this place exceeded our expectations! So beautiful from the second you pull in and you immediately feel tucked away! Kitchen was stocked and had anything you could need and the keurig was appreciated but they also had a regular coffee maker and any coffee supply imaginable for you if you prefer something less fancy. They had crock pots and toaster, toaster oven and tons of dishes and Tupperware for all your cooking! The swing & rocking chairs on the covered porch, the sunroom, deck to experience secluded tanning experiences & all the nature was just amazing! I even saw my first little chipmunk that was the coolest! Many doe’s and a fawn were an expected highlight for the woods! So much nature and beauty, and did I mention
THE PEACE & QUIET!! We live in the city and in a subdivision and we don’t get to experience that peace there. It was hot, so unfortunately I couldn’t take advantage of the gorgeous fireplace but was happy that one evening it was not too hot and was able to use 1 of the provided logs for the fire pit to roast marshmallows which I haven’t been able to do for many many years and it was just lovely!Due to all the busyness of life we don’t travel much in our family however, Fall is my favorite time of year and we look forward to staying here on my next trip! Thank you for giving us just what we needed!!!

A Tranquil feast

One of the best places we have stayed in forty years! Pristine accommodations, well stocked kitchen and a welcome basket that included homemade salsa and chips. Swings and rockers to enjoy the peaceful quiet and beautiful woods. Amazing game room, comfy beds with luxury sheets, gorgeous wood floors and even Ethan Allen furniture! They have thought of everything to create a perfect stay We will be back!!!!

An Unforgettable Stay in a Beautiful Retreat!

From the moment we pulled into the driveway, we were enchanted by this beautiful house. Every detail was thoughtfully considered to ensure a memorable stay. The warm welcome began with meaningful scripture art on the walls and cozy blankets for cuddling up.The amenities were fantastic! We loved having games and books available to enjoy, along with extra sheets and blankets if needed. The washer and dryer were a lifesaver, allowing us to leave with clean clothes and fresh memories.The outdoor hot tub, complete with cozy robes, was a highlight after long days of exploring. We spent delightful moments on the sun porch, taking in the stunning views of the woods. Evenings by the campfire were magical, and we enjoyed relaxing in the swing and hammock.The game room, a charming escape detached from the main house, added another layer of fun to our stay. A short walk led us to a lovely lake where we fished, used the paddle boat, and canoed. Just a few feet further was a serene stream, perfect for peaceful reflection.Overall, this home provided an exceptional getaway, blending comfort, beauty, and adventure in the perfect setting. The Great Escape

We were in desperate need of an escape, both for serious health reasons and also because of overwhelming sad news every day. I had saved 8 Does-a -Dancing on my VRBO trip board and was delighted to find it available for two glorioius nights in February when the temps reached into the 60s! This place is outstanding! We have traveled the country and stayed in many wonderful cabins through the years, but we think this one is the best. Nothing has been overlooked to help make visitors comfortable. You will find a multitude of surprises such as a hammock, a porch swing, a game room, a tree swing and so much more! Our favorite is the hot tub and the space for spreading out both indoors and outdoors. Extra blankets, laundry pods, basic cooking seasonings, make up remover pads, huge stacks of firewood and so many other extras that are not common in other places make this property both unique and worth its price. The best place of all is outside, experiencing the solitude and peace afforded by 23 gorgeous wooded acres. We cannot recommend 8 Does a Dancing enough.

A Piece of Heaven!

Oh, my! What a treat! Grace and peace abound here. From the slow drive down the lane, to the fully stocked kitchen, to the inspirational wall art, this cabin was perfect in every way for a retreat from the stress and sadness of the world. The place was immaculate. In the kitchen, treats were provided as well as a professional full-stocked hot beverage bar. The fireplace and hot tub provided much needed quiet and respite time, and the game house had so many options once we were rested. Shuffleboard is a blast, who knew? The loft with its king-sized bed opened to a small furnished balcony! The cabin is smartly decorated and the wood is just gorgeous. There are plentiful large windows that look out at the leafy hillsides. The front porch, deck, and back screened porch provide wonderful places to appreciate the woods--even during freezing rain and snow. The walk down to the pond was delightful albeit it was frozen during the single-digit weather. And the final treat was filling the bird feeders with the provided bird seed!What thoughtfulness offered by this gracious host!!!

Perfect Stay

Loved our stay with Marissa. The house is the perfect cabin in the woods with a beautiful grounds, comfortable furnishings, a cozy fireplace, welcoming porches, and thoughtful touches throughout. We particularly appreciated the considerations for dogs at the house - the gate to block off the top floor was heaven-sent! Location is wonderful as well if you're looking to get away from city an road noise. We will be back for sure.

Lovely Country Cabin

This cabin was in a beautiful location and was easy to access- they plowed the drive well after a snowstorm! It was also decorated with a cohesive vision, very country and cute. Very clean! I would recommend this cabin to someone looking to stay outside of Nashville.

Everything You Want

This isolated treasure in the woods of Brown County has everything you could ask for in a stay away from home and then some. The home is a beautiful, open concept timber frame house tucked back in a secluded 23 acre property. The game room had a lot of fun games, including: shuffleboard, billiards, and much more. The hot tub in the cold was absolutely amazing. This is ag great cozy stay for a couple or a family looking to take some time away in the woods.
