We warmly welcome you to our house, built in 1912.
This Black Forest house is located in the heart of Neuenbürg—known as the “Gateway to the Northern Black Forest”—on the south-facing slope in a central location.
Step inside the most beautiful house in Neuenbürg, which we have lovingly modernized and tastefully furnished for you.
Enjoy our central location, the exclusively furnished rooms spanning 230 square metres, and the spacious terrace overlooking Neuenbürg Castle.
The Accommodation
Just one glance at the front door gives it away—you’re stepping into a home filled with Art Nouveau elements. The windows in the dining room and entryway reflect the “Art Nouveau” style.
The banister of the solid-wood staircase leading to the first floor is also inspired by the “fin de siècle” artistic movement.
On the first floor, directly behind the front door, is the first guest restroom. This has always proven very useful, especially when returning from a long outing and everyone wants to use the restroom as quickly as possible. True to Darwin’s “survival of the fittest,” the first person to arrive gets priority here. First things first: There are five restrooms in the house.
The hallway leads you to the two interconnected dining rooms on the left. The dining table in the first room comes from a former school. Upon closer inspection, the observant guest will find clear evidence of the table’s origin. Don’t be shocked when you discover it—you, too, once sat in a school desk.
In the second dining room, with its beautiful Art Nouveau windows, the Voglauer cabinet houses one of the two 3D-capable televisions and the Wi-Fi router.
Next to this dining room, you’ll find the first bedroom with an en suite bathroom. The room is equipped with a crib and a changing table. You’ll also find a small play kitchen for our little guests there.
The kitchen, with a storage closet and access to the garden, is also located on the first floor.
The first floor features two connected living rooms with access to the terrace, where you can enjoy the magnificent view of the town of Neuenbürg, the forests, and the sunset over the mountains.
We’ve also provided a TV here for your convenience.
A bookshelf in the living room may hold a book or two that interests you. Just take a look and make yourself comfortable on the Chesterfield sofa.
Incidentally, you’ll find a classic of household literature in the kitchen that should make for an entertaining read.
The second bedroom adjoins the living room. Here, you can rest in a queen-size bed, a single bed, and a unique loft bed. There’s room for 5 people here.
The large bathroom with a freestanding tub and shower area rounds out this floor.
On the second floor, you’ll find the third bedroom with a single bed, the fourth bedroom with a queen-size bed, and the fifth bedroom with a queen-size bed and a treehouse bed for young—or young-at-heart—adventurers. This floor also features a bathroom with a shower. The sixth bedroom, with a queen-size bed and a magnificent view, is located in the attic.
Guest Access
You can enter the house through the front door (next to the covered patio), the kitchen (behind the house), and the side entrance (outdoor entrance to the game room).
Upon arrival, you will receive a garage key for the double garage. There’s also space for 1 to 2 cars in front of the garage.
Smoking is not permitted inside the house. We’ve placed ashtrays on the balcony and terraces for your convenience.
In the basement, we’ve set out two bobsleds and two wooden sleds for your sledding fun.
Additional Important Information
A magnificent hot tub awaits you on the garden terrace—here, 6–8 people can warm up and relax in the firewood-heated tub.
When temperatures remain consistently above zero degrees, fill the hot tub with water and light a fire beneath it. Enjoy the pleasant 38°C of soothing water.
When temperatures are below 0 degrees, the tub may only be filled immediately before heating and must be emptied again as soon as the stove has cooled down.

We recommend that you bring slippers or house socks! For children, “non-slip socks” may be a good idea.
Come rain or shine, our “Grande Dame”—the Viessmann heating system—to which the chimney sweep pays homage at every opportunity—ensures pleasant temperatures in the house. However, there is no underfloor heating.
