Welcome to Your Peaceful Jordan Lake Getaway!
Tucked away on a beautiful, wooded 4-acre property, our cozy, detached two-story cottage offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle while keeping you close to Jordan Lake, Apex, and surrounding attractions.
Located directly across from our main home, the cottage is completely separate, with its own private entrance and everything you need for a comfortable stay. You'll enjoy the quiet, country setting with the convenience of having your hosts nearby if you need anything.
While our cottage may be new to Vrbo, we're certainly not new to hosting! We've been welcoming guests through another vacation rental platform for years and have recently decided to make Vrbo our new booking home.
We take pride in providing a clean, comfortable, and welcoming space where guests can relax and feel right at home. We look forward to continuing that tradition here on Vrbo and welcoming both new and returning guests!
The Space:
The main floor features a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living room, bathroom, TV, and WiFi. Whether you're preparing breakfast before heading out or relaxing after a busy day, you'll have the comforts of home.
Upstairs, you'll find two connected sleeping areas: one with a Queen bed and the other with a Full bed. Please note that these sleeping areas are connected and do not have separate bedroom doors. This layout works especially well for couples, small families, or guests traveling together who don't require completely separate bedrooms.
A Little Peace and Quiet:
Enjoy your morning coffee surrounded by trees, listen to the birds, or unwind after a day exploring Jordan Lake.
We're conveniently located near popular wedding venues, including The Bradford and Enchanted Garden, making our cottage a great option for wedding guests. We're also a short drive from Apex, Cary, and nearby shopping and restaurants.
Bringing Your Dog?
We welcome up to 2 well-behaved dog weighing up to 75 lbs for a $75 pet fee per stay. To help your furry companion feel at home, we provide food and water bowls, a dog towel, and a couch cover. Please note that dogs should remain leashed outdoors, as there is no designated fenced area for guest pets. We ask that you clean up after your dog and ensure vaccinations are current. Dogs are the only pets permitted.
Important: North Carolina Vacation Rental Agreement
In accordance with North Carolina's Vacation Rental Act (N.C. General Statutes Chapter 42A), guests are required to complete a separate written vacation rental agreement.
After booking, you will receive an email requesting your electronic signature on the rental agreement. The signed agreement must be received before check-in. Failure to complete the agreement may result in cancellation of your reservation in accordance with Vrbo's policies and applicable law.
Please complete the DocuSign request promptly to avoid any issues with your reservation.
A Few Things to Know Before Booking
**Country Living & Nearby Amenities**
We're located in a peaceful rural area, surrounded by woods. There are several small convenience stores and gas stations within a few miles, but the nearest larger grocery stores, shopping, and restaurant options are approximately 10 miles (about 20 minutes) away.
If you're looking for a quiet getaway, you'll love it here! If you prefer to walk to restaurants or shops, our location may not be the best fit.
**WiFi & Connectivity**
WiFi is provided, although internet speeds and reliability may be more limited than in urban areas. Our rural location can occasionally experience slower connections or interruptions. If you plan to work remotely or require high-speed internet for video meetings, please check with us before booking.
**Nature & Occasional Visitors**
Being surrounded by woods means you'll enjoy birds, wildlife, and the sounds of nature. It also means the occasional bug may find its way indoors, particularly if doors are left open or lights are left on upstairs at night.
We maintain regular pest control treatments and work hard to keep the cottage clean and comfortable. We appreciate your help keeping doors closed and turning off unnecessary lights.
**Weather & Utility Interruptions**
Occasional power or internet outages can occur during storms or other circumstances beyond our control. While uncommon, these interruptions are part of rural living. We will do our best to communicate any issues and assist where possible. Weather-related or utility interruptions outside our control do not automatically qualify for refunds, subject to applicable law and Vrbo policies.
**Security Cameras**
For the safety and security of our property, a motion-activated exterior camera monitors the driveway and records video and audio when triggered. The main house also has a Ring doorbell facing toward the cottage.
House Rules
We want every guest to enjoy a relaxing, comfortable stay while helping us maintain our property for future visitors.
**Registered Guests Only:** No parties, events, or unapproved visitors. Please contact us in advance if you'd like to have someone visit during your stay.
**No Indoor Smoking or Vaping:** Smoking or vaping of any substance is strictly prohibited inside the cottage. A $250 additional cleaning charge may apply if this rule is violated. Smoking is permitted outdoors only, and all cigarette butts and other waste must be disposed of properly.
**Pet Rules:** Up to 2 dogs, maximum 75 lbs, with a $75 pet fee per stay. Dogs must be leashed outdoors, and guests must clean up after their pets. No other animals are permitted, except as required by applicable law.
**Lights & Doors:** Please turn off indoor lights when leaving the cottage, particularly upstairs, and keep exterior doors closed to help prevent insects from entering.
**Early Check-In / Late Check-Out:** Requests are considered based on availability and must be approved in advance. Additional fees may apply.
We Look Forward to Hosting You!
We love sharing our little piece of country living with guests. Whether you're visiting family, attending a wedding, exploring Jordan Lake, or simply looking for a quiet place to recharge, we hope you'll feel right at home.
We live on the property and are happy to help if you need anything, while always respecting your privacy.
One important distinction about the contract: North Carolina's Vacation Rental Act requires a written vacation rental agreement for covered rentals, but the law doesn't specifically require DocuSign. That's simply the electronic signature service you're choosing to use.
