Quiet 2 bedroom 1 bath 3rd floor apartment close to everything

Private 2 bedroom apartment in a quiet residential neighborhood on the third floor of my home.
Comfortable for several people with a full kitchen and large living space in addition to 2 spacious bedrooms and one bathroom. There’s a little over 900 square feet of space. The back bedroom has a queen size bed with lots of room to spare. The front room has a queen size bed and a full size bed. The couch in the living room is super comfy for sleeping and the queen size air mattress will fit in either bedroom or even the living room. So you could fit up to 8 people if you really wanted to. We regularly host 6 people and everyone has been happy.
- Please note this is a third floor walk up, as in steep exterior stairs- but worth the climb -
We have WiFi throughout the apartment and a smart tv plus a DVD player for your relaxing pleasure. The kitchen has a fridge, microwave, full stove, toaster and coffee maker. You’ll find plenty of snacks and breakfast fixings. It has everything you need to make meals.
The property is just shy of an acre with plenty of space to wander, kick a ball around, watch the birds or roast some marshmallows in the outdoor fireplace. We are less than a block from Toby May park with playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts. Shops, restaurants, gyms and laundromats are all less than a mile away.

We are very close to L&M Hospital, Mitchell College, General Dynamics, The Coast Guard Academy, Conn College, and the Eugene O’Neil Theater Center. Travel 1.5 miles and Explore Harkness Park, Ocean Beach (a free beach pass is included with your stay) or The Garde Theater. Downtown New London has a vibrant art and restaurant community as well as a busy waterfront with access to ferries to Block Island, Fishers Island and Long Island, buses and Amtrak. If that’s not enough we are 25 minutes to Mohegan Sun, 30 to Foxwoods and 20 to Mystic! Then Again you can always stay in and relax.

Host was very responsive, space was clean and she provided extras like snacks and toiletries which was very much appreciated. Family was very quiet but we felt like we were imposing so I wouldn’t recommend a shared space like this if you like privacy and don’t want to be scared to make noise.

Top to bottom, this is one of the best stays we’ve had!! This home has all the quintessential cottage feels, and very close to all the main attractions. The stand out things for me are the little things that Shannan took care of prior to our arrival that really made all the difference. Stacks of beautiful beach books, extra toiletries for weary travelers who potentially left things behind (haha), snacks, and the most charming decor all made for a wonderful stay. I (mom) was there with my teenage daughter and felt extremely comfortable and safe. The topperto an incredible weekend was unfortunately my daughter left our laptop, and Shannan was extremely responsive about locating the device and shipping it back to us -free of charge!!! There aren’t many people like her in this world, and we need more of them! I already let her know that my husband and I will be booking a stay for ourselves in the coming months to celebrate our anniversary. Can’t wait to return! Thank you for an incredible stay and beautiful memories of a state we love so much!

Communication was excellent. The location was great, apartment was clean and had numerous items in the unit for cooking and the owner provides extra items for your use- snacks and hygiene items. Definitely will stay again and highly recommend. It does have steep stairs like indicated in the description.

Lovely stay

Apartment looked way bigger in person than in the pics. It was perfect for my 3 night stay in the area. It had all necessary amenities and was well stocked with other surprise goodies. The overall property was huge and had nice landscaping. I would definitely stay here again! (One recommendation to the owner is to put a blackout curtain in the bedroom facing front yard)

Navy graduation

Perfect place to stay. Quick hop across the way to Gronton to see the Navy Submarine Museum and for graduation from A school. Property was just as pictured. Stairs took a second, but worth it. Beds were comfy. Pillows fluffy. Kitchen and living room space makes it far nicer than a hotel. Snacks and coffee were ready and waiting. I would definitely recommend!

Wonderful visit!

My 3 year old and I had a great visit here! The location was great, the space was huge, and the feeling was super homey. We definitely hope to book here again when we come back to see family! The only recommendation I have would be a gate at the top of the inside stairs for little ones. (There may have been one that I missed though). All in all we enjoyed our visit and hope to come back soon and use the awesome playground and fireplace!

Girl's Trip Getaway

My friend and I stayed here during a trip we took to see our favorite band in concert. This property made an excellent homebase for us for our trip, providing a peaceful and quiet place for us to relax when we weren't exploring New London and the surrounding area. The hosts have thought of everything, providing things we didn't even realize we would appreciate having on our trip! We will definitely return for future trips :)

Vacation for Thanksgiving

We had a great time. The hostess had the location well stocked with everything. We liked the quiet neighborhood. The beds were comfortable and the blankets kept everyone warm. The only suggestion would be have better lighting on all the stairs.

Wonderful retreat!

We came for a tour of the Coast Guard Academy and found a wonderfully kept up and supplied apartment that was in very easy distance of the Academy. My son is a runner and we felt very safe for him to run in the area. It gave us a much needed retreat to enjoy time together!
