The Dale and Marguerite cabin is a 1 story layout named after my grandparents. Dale grew up on this farm (in the yellow farmhouse). The cabin overlooks a creek, and our guests are able to sit on the porch, or in the hot tub, and see a variety of wildlife and foliage. Guests can also walk the property. A clear night is breathtaking due to the rural area making stars vivid. There is one bedroom with a king size bed, and a full kitchen with pans and utensils. There are 2 TV's ( living room and bedroom) , DVD, and DISH Network. Bed linens and towels are provided. There is a 2 zone heating/A/C system providing separate thermostats in the living room and bedroom.

Lovely Stay
We had a lovely stay. Our goal was to get away from responsibilities and relax and we did just that. We enjoyed the hot tub and relaxing by the fire. Communication with the host was easy.

Great cabin, but a bit of a drive from most HHills parks
Great cabin! Only a few years old. Everything worked and was very clean. Hot tub was terrific. Host was very responsive and onsite if problems arose. In terms of the cabin itself, I have only two minor complaints. 1) The bedroom really isn’t large enough for a king bed. When getting up at night to go to the bathroom I had to shimmy sideways along a 1-foot wide path between the bed and the wall. 2) While there is Wi-Fi, it was very weak. It rained during our whole stay, so we thought we’d do some binge watching as we relaxed in the cabin. The WiFi is just a 4G hotspot, in an area without a strong cell signal, so it just didn’t have to oomph to stream anything. Still, the good outweighed the bad by a long shot. Would love to return in better weather when we could hike the property. As to location, it’s about 20 minutes to Lake Hope, and about 45 min to the major Hocking Hills parks. A bit remote, but it was just convenient to Athens when we decided to head out for lunch,

Very Rural!
Nice cabin and furnishings, overall, but the couch had no support and there wasn't enough bright light in the living room to read after dark. My husband and I never did get the bedroom TV working, the host graciously offered to come to the cabin to remedy the problem but we didn't want that on our short getaway - we would have preferred to have the TV already working. But we did not have any issues with the large TV in the living room, it worked fine. The bed was comfortable but had a mattress topper that allowed you to really "sink in" to the mattress. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water for the 2 of us. The hot tub was powerful enough and heated up nicely. Complete privacy all around the cabin, too.

Wonderful cabin!
My wife and I booked a cabin for an impromptu weekend away. It was perfect! Clean, just as advertised, and on an absolutely beautiful property. Can’t wait to book the Dale and Marguerite again

Relaxing birthday weekend
This cabin was the perfect getaway for a relaxing weekend that included some hiking and football. The cabin is cozy and had everything we needed during our stay. The hot tub, which is located right out the front door under a covered porch, was easy to access and really added to our relaxation and enjoyment of the weekend. Our host was very helpful when answering our questions and they made the stay stress free! This cabin absolutely deserves all the 5 star reviews!

Unwind
My husband and I stayed at the cabin over the Thanksgiving holiday. It was a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. The cabin was well appointed and very cozy. We loved having a bonfire every day at sunset. David was excellent at communication and helped provide us with firewood. He even gave us some small twigs for kindling and lighter fluid; so thoughtful. We'd love to stay here again next fall. Excellent place to unwind.
