Carroll Gardens House is nestled in the heart of Carroll Gardens, one of Brooklyn’s most charming brownstone neighborhoods.
The apartment is one full floor of a brownstone. The apartment is approximately 1000 square feet, with full kitchen, private bath, living/dining area, two bedrooms (each with a queen-size bed), small den with twin daybed and private outdoor deck. It's the ideal home base whether your visit is for business or pleasure.
Enjoy the many amenities this wonderful setting has to offer. There are dozens of restaurants and cafes within walking distance, many family-owned shops and local boutiques specializing in everything from children's clothing to housewares, and the beautiful Carroll Park directly across the street with 2 playgrounds, a softball field, a bocce court, 5 basketball courts, and a sprinkler in the summer. Our location, just a half block from the subway, couldn't be more convenient as a home base from which to explore New York's most popular borough.



Calendar - We keep the calendar up to date but advise travelers to always email for availability in the event we have a cancellation. House Rules- Comfort & Quiet - Carroll Gardens House is a private residence. We ask that our guests respect the comfort and quietness of the owners and residents. CGH is NOT a party house. It is a 130 year old brownstone on a quiet tree-lined block. Please keep voices and footsteps low when entering late at night. Smoking Policy – there is absolutely NO smoking in the apartment or outside on the deck. Pets - We do not allow pets. Cancellation Policy – Cancellation within 60 days for a full refund or 30 days for 50% refund. If we book the dates you have canceled we will refund you 100%. Park directly across the street with softball field, bocce court, 2 playgrounds, 5 basketball courts.

The perfect home base for exploring Brooklyn!

We absolutely loved our stay at Jamie and Joe's; the apartment is even better than you can tell from the listing. This listing is for President Suite A (some photos of President Suite B are also included in the listing). It features an awesome back patio that overlooks the neighborhood gardens. We stayed for a month, working remotely with great wifi here. Our four-year-old adored having the whole back bedroom to himself (it is separated with french doors from the living room). I can't imagine a better location for a family New York visit – around the corner from several laundromats, on the same block as the F and G lines, with cafes and restaurants surrounding, across from the lovely tree-filled park and playground. Jamie and Joe were very friendly and helpful.

Perfect 7 week stay

What a find! Great location, clean, and well managed by friendly and responsive owners. It was perfect home base for me to spend time with my newborn grandson in his earliest weeks, with a short walk to my daughter and son-in-law's apartment that felt safe at all hours. There was plenty of space and beds for other family members to join me at various times; we especially loved the outdoor deck and its garden views. Many thanks to Jamie and Joe for a wonderful stay!

A perfect stay in Carroll Gardens!

Jamie is an incredibly responsive, warm and friendly host. Her apartment is wonderfully located in the middle of Carroll Gardens. It's close to everything you could possibly want, including an organic market, a park across the street, an easy walk to the F train and that's just the beginning! My husband and I booked for nine weeks and were profoundly grateful that we were fortunate enough to stay in Jamie's terrific apartment!

Amazing stay in heart of Brooklyn

We had the pleasure of staying at the Carroll Gardens House for a long term stay this summer. Having lived in Brooklyn previously, I can tell you there is no better location to stay within the Borough. The park, restaurants, coffee shops (Hungry Ghost being my favorite), shopping, grocery stores, resources and location to subway are ideal. Both Jamie and Joe were wonderful hosts, both warm, welcoming and quick to respond to any inquiries/issues. We had our family of five (kids 19, 17, 14), in and out over the summer and we all felt comfortable, safe and thoroughly enjoyed all that the area has to offer. I’d definitely recommend their wonderful apartment to anyone who wants to enjoy both Brooklyn and have easy access to the city!

Perfectly located for short jaunts and longer journeys.

Because Jamie's property was only two blocks from our daughter's apartment, it couldn't have been more perfectly located for us. We loved the Martinez grocery just around the corner (and the resident cat, Mars), and East One Coffee (within a block) in the morning. And we made no fewer than three trips to Books Are Magic (a 10-min walk), a great small independent book store. We also love Buttermilk Channel for dinner, again only a 10-min walk. Jamie and her husband were gracious, respectful and very communicative, responding quickly and often about a small plumbing problem we experienced.

we loved it - just what we expected, and more

Very convenient to Manhattan, but also gave a nice neighborhood that wasn't Manhattan = cool restaurants, nice bars, coffee shops etc with normal prices and a feeling of being a local not a tourist. Would recommend both the apartment and the neighborhood 5 stars

Great place to stay!

We had a fantastic time staying at Jamie and Joe's apartment. The location is perfect - family friendly, quiet and within easy walking distance to great restaurants and local amenities including grocery stores. The accommodation was comfortable and clean with all that we needed for our family including our two children. Having the extra room meant that we all had space after busy days exploring the sights. Jamie and Joe were flexible and thoughtful when we needed to change our plans unexpectedly - which was a relief and much appreciated when travelling internationally. We would recommend this apartment in beautiful Carroll Gardens. Thanks for making our family trip one to remember!

Perfect location and set-up for our weekend

My wife and I were in town from the West Coast to attend a birthday party for a friend in Carroll Gardens. This spot was perfectly located for us to walk a few blocks to our friends' place and to the (separate) party location, is a half-block from the F train and the shops/eateries on Smith, and is nicely located just across from Carroll Park. The place is clean and comfortable and obviously offers far more space than any hotel option at this price.

Great location as it was close to subway, stores and park. Highly recommend the apt.

If I were to mention one thing, the apt was accurate in saying it was a 2 bedroom but I wish it had stated that 1 bedroom did not have a proper door for privacy. It is not obvious in the website photos. Had I known before hand would have been useful. Otherwise a delightful apt and attentive owners.

Wonderful spot on President’s Ave in Carroll Gardens.

We enjoyed our stay at 284 very much! Excellent neighborhood right next to the subway. Quiet area with a beautiful park nearby. Farmers Market on Saturday. Drugstore around the corner. We rode the Citibike system and used public transportation the whole time-easily accessible from Jamie’s. Hosts were great to relate to. Accommodations were perfect! Thank you!

Location and Charm

Carroll Gardens House was a perfect stay for my husband and me + our toddler + my mom + her friend! The location is amazing: Carroll Park (with a playground), subway access, liquor stores, a wine store, a health food store (that is "Northern California hippie" approved), & Rite Aid all STEPS away and so many great restaurants/specialty shops all within a 10 minute walk or a 10 minute Lyft/Uber ride away. Everyone can vouch for the safety of this upscale neighborhood. The house itself has so much architectural charm (see: vintage marble fireplace and original parque wood floors)! PLUS the back deck and a new couch to lounge on, updated kitchen and bathroom, and working a/c were all happy bonuses. We would both stay again and recommend to others!

Fun in NYC

My daughter, my 15 year old grandson and I stayed here for a week in late July. It's a great place on a quiet street. The rooms are spacious and exceptionally clean. The drugstore's at the corner and the subway is, too. The park across the street is a lovely shaded oasis. Lots of closeby restaurants.

Perfect spot close to everything

Jamie was a pleasure to deal with. Full of suggestions and recommendations in the area. Parking on the same block, some times right in front of the house was very easy. The bathroom and kitchen were very small, but updated and nice. The back deck was beautiful and a nice touch. Difficult for some to access via the window but the provided step was quite helpful. The room set ups were different but very manageable. Overall a great place and great experience. Our last night the guests above us were quite noisy but we made the best of it. Wonderful restaurants only a block away with a 24 hour rite aid right at the end of the block which was very helpful traveling with two kids under 3. The only recommendation for improvement id suggest is either a thorough cleaning or replacing of the air conditioners. The bedroom AC especially was quite dirty. The guest book was wonderful touch. We enjoyed reading about the guests that have visited, some from around the world. We wished we could have left a note in the book however we couldn’t find a pen. I’d love to stay here next time we are in the area again

Delightful Accommodations

We were so pleased with the pristine condition of our accommodations. The Decour was lovely, there were even a few toys for our 2 1/2-year-old granddaughter. The owner stop by to welcome us and sent very clear explanations on how to get our keys from the lock box and communicated with us constantly when things we needed.
