I recently stayed at the Four Points Sheraton Flushing, and overall, my experience was a mix of highs and lows. I must say, this hotel is one of my favorites, with amazing rooms that provide a comfortable environment.
Upon my arrival after a tiring work day at LaGuardia Airport, I was looking forward to a smooth check-in process and a good night's sleep. However, things didn't go as planned initially. The room I was assigned had a key that didn't work, despite my numerous attempts to enter.
After seeking assistance from the lobby staff twice, I was kindly attended to by the evening manager. It turned out that another guest had been mistakenly assigned the same room. The manager handled the situation professionally and offered a small token of appreciation, which I didn't find particularly appealing. Eventually, I was reassigned to another room, and after some delay, I was able to settle in for the night.
Although the initial hiccup was inconvenient, the friendly and helpful attitude of the manager made a positive impression on me. These things happen in the hospitality industry, and it was comforting to see the staff's dedication to resolving the issue promptly.
