I liked the convenience and location of the property as well as the coffee and additives in the room, and the breakfast buffet. I wish the buffet started at 7am instead of 8am, and I felt that the room furniture was old and outdated. The room was small but the chairs were too big for the space, limiting a walk between the bed and the bathroom.

We loved everything about this cozy hotel. Since we had two teenagers traveling with us, we booked a 2BR suite. It was so convenient to have two bathrooms, and the common sitting area in our suite was useful as well. We didn't have much of a chance to use the balcony or the roof top seating area but both were lovely with comfortable seating. The location of the hotel is perfect for us, and the continental breakfast was truly delightful. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful, and we will absolutely return. Even our teens were impressed!

This hotel was excellent. Very clean and quiet rooms, the entire hotel smells nice as well. Attentive staff, lovely dining areas within the property, close to many great restaurants and bars. We plan to stay here again.

Hotel Scherman was everything it is advertised as! The staff were great and accommodating. We originally stayed in a townhouse room for the first night but after I hurt my toe (not at the hotel) they were great about moving our room to the main building so I didn’t have to navigate the narrow stairs in the townhouse. We had a rainy day but the hotel had many umbrellas available for guests to use, which was super convenient. It was close to the subway system, Times Square and all of the major theaters. When we return to NYC, we will look to stay at Hotel Scherman again!

If i could give more than five stars I would. This hotel was fabulous. You are close to all the restaurants, Transportation. The staff could not be warmer and this hotel is going to be our Go To place when we come to New York. As a matter of fact, I am already planning my next trip.

Great all Around… staff, room, location

Lovely hotel, lovely room, great location, loads of delicious restaurants nearby. The sushi restaurant opposite is very expensive, but some of the best sushi I’ve ever eaten! Useful that there’s a sink on a coffee machine, a fridge and a hot plate with some basic utensils and crockery. However, the hotel also offers breakfast, which was included in my rate. I had to check out very early, so they kindly are giving me a 6 am takeaway breakfast.

We enjoy this small boutique hotel. They include a small continental breakfast each day which is perfect to start the day and figures into the cost. Great location around restaurants and close to Times Square. Little hidden gem.
