The property was an old holiday inn. It has not really been remodeled. The staff is very nice and the location is great. 2 blocks from the subway and 2 stops from mid town. Rooms do not have a coffee maker in them. There is coffee in the lobby. There are two elevators.

I usually stay in the Long Island City area when I come to NYC. This was my first time at this hotel, booked because of the rate and a balcony. They did honor an early check in but the first room was not clean. Several stains on the chairs and walls. I was moved to a second room on a higher floor, and didn’t have issues with cleanliness. Bed was the comfiest.

Beautiful hotel, great views. Only problem was the air conditioner did not really work in our room. It was warm. But we were grateful to the wonderful staff. Would definitely stay here again.

Very thin walls so fyi you’ll hear the room next to you. Safe and bright lobby. Building overall in good condition at quick glance. No shower caps in rooms but there are hair dryers. Our room was an ADA unit and clean and roomy. Clean bed (no bed bugs). Air con worked well.
