I had a wonderful stay at the High Line Hotel. The location is tucked just off the High Line, which made it feel peaceful and quiet while still being close to everything. The building itself has an older charm that adds to the character of the experience. The bed was excellent, one of the most comfortable Iâve slept in at a hotel, which made for a great nightâs rest. Overall, itâs a unique and relaxing place to stay in the city, perfect if you want comfort and a quieter atmosphere without being far from the action.
We stayed at The High Line Hotel over a hot August weekend to celebrate our daughterâs birthday. We were greeted upon arrival, however it wasnât until we were inside checking in that we realized the man who offered to take our bags was actually apart of the hotel - he didnât have a marked uniform on.
We stayed in a double queen room. Itâs by far the largest room weâve ever stayed at in New York. There were 2 closets! The bathroom was large. The water pressure was pretty good. The bed was very comfortable. The room was quiet from other guests. The first night we heard noise from outside traffic but on the second night we did not. Overall itâs more of the quieter hotels weâve stayed at in the city. We didnât receive turn down service as mentioned on the website and I wasnât able to get any help from the hotel on birthday decor or a special treat for my daughter.
Loved having the coffee shop downstairs. Everything we had was great. Would have loved to have had a cocktail at the outside bar but it closed before we got home each night. We didnât use the bikes but they looked brand new. The hotel staff made excellent recommendations - we enjoyed Brooklyn Bagel & Coffee Company as well as Gotham Pizza.
Location was great for us. We walked to Broadway, the Flat Iron District, the NYC Public Library, Times Square, The Village and took a subway down to the Financial District. The High Line entrance is right across the street from the hotel and Chelsea Market around the corner.
