This was an “ok” place, nothing special. The restaurant was under staffed, the front desk clerk was either taking on their cell phone or watching novelas. The bathroom was super cold. This place was over priced for what it was. I expected something nicer.

The Tryp is a good alternative to NYC hotels. The rooms are clean and well maintained. It’s a 10 minute walk to NY transportation. The building is also well maintained. The staff is ok. Some are more helpful than others. Don’t expect Marriott or Hilton level of service. I had a problem with the airport shuttle. It did not show up at the scheduled time and the front desk staff had to track down the driver. The hotel restaurant is ok but it is a bit overpriced for what you get. Two restaurants are within a 2 or 3 minute walk but one is pricey.

The room was clean and the AC was amazing! My only concern was the house keeping staff were talking too loud in the early morning and had their cleaning cart parked close outside my doorway so I heard them a few hours before my alarm was set to go off and the cart was still there after I left the room. Otherwise my stay was fantastic!

Stayed one night for a concert and it was great for what we needed. The hotel staff was okay. Two older gentlemen who were friendly enough. Room wasn’t ready but offered to hold our bags. Didn’t give a ticket for the bag though, which I thought was weird and made me uncomfortable so I just held onto it instead. Parking was self park with in and out privileges but I didn’t utilize but my friends in another room did and she seemed to use it easily enough although when she first got in, she didn’t have a spot and had to valet. Once I got into my King family room though, it was great! The room was clean and spacious with two Murphy beds which my kids loved! Fridge included, no microwave. Bathroom was clean, shower was nice with good water pressure. One side of the mirror lights were blinking though but I forgot to mention it to the front desk before check out. But we came for a concert at the Pridential Center, which was a 10-15 min walk so it was convenient. It was also walking distance to a few a Whole Foods and some places to eat across from a park. All in all, pretty good place to stay, esp during the day time! Would definitely consider staying again next time I’m in the area!

The room was exceptionally clean. The Internet and wifi was not great at all. Could not connect my laptop to do my work. They did charge way more for parking than it said when I signed up for the room which I did not think was fare. Overall it wasn’t a bad stay just more money than expected. The restaurant in the hotel was delicious but extremely expensive. We didn’t utilize the breakfast buffet so cannot say if it would be worth what you would have to pay for it but there was a deli next to the hotel to the right that was amazing. The gym was ok had several pieces of equipment and was pretty quiet overall.

Restaurant was very good! Wait staff was very attentive and pleasant. Room 710 was great---room with a view of One World Trade Center and Manhattan skyline. Was a pleasant surprise that we loved!
