Steps to Beach and Bay with Garage Parking (compact car) & Air Conditioning!

Balboa Escape is located mid peninsula and half a block to either the Beach or the Bay. It is a short walk to the Balboa Ferry, Catalina Flyer and many great restaurants. The closest bike rentals are only 2 blocks away. This apartment has just been updated with new fully equipped kitchen, cabinets, granite countertops, appliances, windows, AC and flooring. Beach Towels are provided. It is light and airy with lots of windows. This is a 2nd floor apartment and the largest in this 4 apartment building. It has a comfy queen size captains bed in the bedroom with storage underneath and a chest of drawers and a closet. The living room has a pull out queen sofa sleeper and there is a chest for storage and closet in the living room as well. New Smart TV with cable and free WiFi. There is one garage parking space for a subcompact car. There are Beach chairs and boogie boards in the garage. The coin op laundry is located in the garage. There is a shared patio with table and chairs and a Weber gas grill. This is a perfect location for a relaxing stay at the beach. No animals are allowed on property due to allergies. One flight of stairs must be climbed to Access this apartment. SLP13796

Un bel endroit trÚs bien situé

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans l appartement de janet. Il est parfaitement aménagé et idéalement situé à mi chemin entre balboa et newport beach. La plage est à 3 minutes à pieds et nous avons apprécié le matériel de plage à notre disposition. C est un endroit calme et trÚs accueillant. L arrivée a été trÚs facile grùce aux explications claires de janet. Nous recommandons vivement.

Great place for a beach getaway

Very clean tidy property with all the amenities you could need. A very short walk to the beach and the boardwalk. We hired bikes and were able to bike to Huntington and Sunset Beaches. Communication with the owner was excellent. Would stay again.

Great place!

Janet was great and the place was lovely. The only reason for 4/5 was a mix up on heck out times. The check out time in the confirmation email had a typo as 10:59pm, but it was supposed to be 10:59am. We had planned to leave our luggage for the afternoon, but it wasn't a big deal to get out earlier for the next tenants. I would definitely recommend!

Perfect home base for stay on the Balboa Peninsula

This is my second stay at the property and first time in Apartment D. If you don’t like stairs and are looking for an ocean view, it won’t be the right spot for you. However, if you are like me and want a comfortable and clean home base to return to after daily outings, it is perfect. This one-bedroom apartment is nicely decorated and the sofa area is comfy and spacious, the bed is very comfortable, and the kitchen is well equipped with whatever you may need. There were lots of back up towels, including beach towels. The garage parking is very small so I recommend parking on the street. My stay was in October so there was no problem finding a space very near the apartment. The beach is right across the street and the apartment is perfectly located for walking to either the Newport Pier or to the Balboa Pier and Fun Zone. Approx. 3/4 mi-1 mi. There are lots of good places to eat, plenty of bakeries and bars. Overall a great stay and I will definitely look to stay here again next year.

Wonderful stay!

This place is great. Can’t beat the location, just 2 short blocks to the beach boardwalk. There is so much natural light and really cute California decor. The place is really comfy, great bed and couches. And the kitchen was stocked with everything needed to do some good cooking. Definitely note that the garage is for a small car only
I had a crossover and couldn’t fit. Street parking is easy enough to come by during the week but was difficult on the weekend. That is the only draw back but is the case for most places in this area. Will stay again!

Great One Bedroom!

Very nice upstairs unit, super clean, well-stocked, great kitchen, and friendly & attentive hosts. The location is about a mile south of the Baloba pier and is steps away from both the ocean and the harbor. Second story unit had beautiful lighting and views of the harbor. Would stay here again!

Aamazing location and fantastic apartment

The location is awesome - walking distance to the beach and other Balboa spots, including restaurants and coffee shops. The apartment was fully equipped with anything one would need during a holiday visit. The stairs are a bit steep, but other than that, it's perfect.

Great Stay!

This place was nice and tidy. The steps up are a bit steep, but it wasn’t bad for us in our 30s. You definitely need to have a tiny car to be able to park in the garage, parking in the nearby neighborhood was way to find every night, for us. Communication with the host was timely as well :)

Great value for location!

Place is really cute, well maintained and property managers were very nice and responsive. The location is fantastic as its close to everything. The only things to really note is the garage is very small which isn't the end of the world because we just kept our rental bikes in there and parked car on street and the bathroom is really small. Would absolutely stay here again though.

Nice Newport Beach Rental on the Balboa Peninsula

My wife and I had a wonderful stay in this Newport rental unit. The place was clean and nicely updated. The location is so convenient and within easy walking distance from the Newport Pier on the ocean side and the Balboa Fun Zone on the bay side. The bathroom is on the smaller side but not a big deal and the garage is very small as stated, but we had no problem finding parking on the street. California dreaming

Clean and well organized property management. The one issue we had was there are very bright lights on that shine into the bedroom window at night. A proper set of drapes should be installed to block this glaring light at night.
