Take a short walk to the beach for day's out surfing and sunbathing, before heading back to your private terrace for a glass of wine at sundown. Well-behaved dogs welcome with fee of ÂŁ20/dog (max 2).
The Space:
This apartment is the perfect spot for six guests to spread out and relax. Spanning across two floors, you enter into the ground floor where there is a double bedroom equipped with an en-suite. Upstairs, a sociable living and kitchen space boasts the best of open-plan living. Rustle up hearty breakfasts as the sun beats through the windows. Or settle into the sofa for cosy movie nights as a fire crackles in the background. Tasteful finishing touches, such as exposed brick walls, vibrant house plants and a beautiful arched window, transform the space into one that oozes luxury.
Next door, youâll find two further double bedrooms. Both boast impressive lofty ceilings and characterful wooden beams. Whilst the addition of high-quality linens, stylish pendant lighting and wall-mounted TVs give off the allure of a stylish boutique hotel. A modern jack-and-jill bathroom is shared by both with a luxurious waterfall shower and black fittings. All in all, the apartmentâs central location, sea views and high-quality furnishings make it a one-of-a-kind getaway.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome with a fee of ÂŁ20/dog (max 2). It is also on the condition they are kept off sofas and beds, and not let in the property unattended.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the whole apartment and outside terrace.
The Neighborhood:
The apartment is located in the heart of Newquay, one of Cornwallâs most popular towns. Its renowned beaches and bustling high street are right on the doorstep so youâll certainly have an action-packed holiday.
Set within Newquay town centre, you will discover lots of great shops and restaurants. Head to Box & Barber for great brunch options and good coffee, Pavilion for tasty baked treats as well as Lost Brewing. Co for burgers and craft beers! The apartment is set within Cribbar Yard which is a small selection of great local businesses including a surf shop and wine bar.
The local Golf Course is a five minute walk away, whilst Fistral Beach is just fifteen minutes walk. By staying so close, youâre able to miss out on any parking struggles especially during the summer months! This renowned beach boasts fantastic surfing conditions, a surf school and numerous shops and restaurants. Try Rick Stein's fish and chips and The Stable's pizza, washed down with a pint of local Korev from Fistral Beach Bar. Over on the Pentire Headland is Lewinnick Lodge, a highly regarded hotel and restaurant where you can enjoy fresh seafood overlooking the water. They also serve cream teas and lunch throughout the day!
Newquay Towan Beach, Great Western Beach and Lusty Glaze are all easily accessible from the house. Slightly further afield, you will find Porth Beach, Watergate Bay and Crantock beaches, all of which are well worth a visit. Watergate Bay Hotel is one of the most highly regarded establishments in Cornwall, and we would highly recommend trying Emily Scott's restaurant if you are in the area. Walkers are also perfectly placed to enjoy the very best of the South West Coastal Path, and you can set off on long walks in either direction straight from the door. Please see our Guest Guide for recommended walking routes as well as some of our favourite local spots.
Getting Around:
Newquay has some of the best travel connections anywhere in Cornwall. Trains operated by Great Western Railway run all the way from London Paddington into the centre of town, with only one change at Par. Additionally, Newquay also has an international airport which is around a 20 minute drive. You can either get a taxi here or rent a car for the rest of your trip.
The nearest car park to the apartment is St Georgeâs Road which is about a 2 minute walk away. It has a mix of paid and free parking depending on the time of year and day. From 1 November to 31 March, the charge is ÂŁ1.20 from 9am â 4pm, and free from 4pm to 9am. Between 1 April and 31 October, from 9am to 4pm the charges are ÂŁ1.70 up to 1 hour, ÂŁ3.40 for 1 to 2 hours, ÂŁ4.90 for 2 to 3 hours, ÂŁ6.60 for 3 to 4 hours or ÂŁ8.70 for 24 hours. From 4pm to 9am it is free. The car park is pay on exit, so you don't need to worry about constantly returning to get a new ticket!
There are also many other paid car parks in Newquay as well as free on street parking in certain areas, though finding a space can be difficult in busy periods.
Other Things to Note:
The apartment is centrally located in Newquay, right in the heart of the town. This means all the local amenities are literally on your doorstep, but it also means there is potential for noise. Please be aware of this before booking.
Additionally, there is a bar in the courtyard below, which may occasionally host events.
There is an open surfboard storage area in the communal area which guests can use for their own equipment. However, the store also contains other residents' surf gear. This is strictly not for guest use.
The apartment is reached by an internal staircase which is fairly steep, so please take care.
Well behaved dogs are welcome with a fee of ÂŁ20/dog (max 2). It is on the condition they are not allowed on the soft furnishings or in the bedrooms, are cleaned up after and are not left in the property unattended.
