Bedroom 2 – (sleeps 3) Large family room with a single, an enormous super-king and TV.
Bathroom - Washbasin, toilet and bath with shower head, plus a “surf-check” glimpse of the sea!
Downstairs:
Bedroom 3 – (sleeps 3) Level access room with bunk combination of double under with single on top.
Lounge – (sleeps 2) Big, comfy sofa space equipped with stereo, TV + DVD, chaise longue and pull-out sofa-bed.
Kitchen/Diner – Lovely open-plan cooking and eating space equipped with large dining table and chairs, kettle, toaster, double oven, hob, fridge, freezer, coffee machine, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. (Private Chef available on request).
Shower-room – Washbasin, toilet and walk-in shower.
Conservatory – Sunshine and sofa-filled chill out space.

Amazing Newquay Break

Arrived here after a 6 hour drive and found the property easily. The house was clean and felt like home. The kitchen was well equip for all of us. There was 8 of us and was perfect. The best part of it was the location and only 5 mins walk to the beach ⛱ and a further 15 mins walk to the town. Definitely would recommend this property 👌

Lovely place to stay and close to beautiful beach

Had a great stay here, a spacious and comfortable base for travelling round Cornwall. I felt check in time was late (5pm). I asked if I could arrive at 4pm to change before going out in evening but had to pay for earlier check in (could get in from 2.30pm). Floor is incredibly slippy so wear shoes and round bed was a little uncomfortable. Would be useful to have info on bins/recycling as every Council is different, wasn’t sure what all the different bags were for. I would definitely recommend staying here though, has everything you need, plenty of bedding, towels, etc. I would stay here again, nice touch with flowers, biscuits on arrival. Beach is a short walk away which is stunning.

Fantastic Property

We had a wonderful stay at this extremely spacious property. A few little things need updating such as the oven as has no info on the dials, a few things were broken which i mentioned and they are sorting but overall great property. Lots of space, nice and clean, some lovely beach vibe touches.

The location itself was wonderful, clean and so peaceful, and the house was just great, clean tidy, and above all it felt like a home and everyone of us were very comfortable, can't complain about anything there as it was just perfect, and as it was also close to the beach that makes it a plus too, wish we had planned for enough days, but overall experience was great, hopefully we can plan another one soon

First Out of Lockdown Break

We were disappointed on arrival to discover certain aspects of cleaning had not been done after the last visitors. However this was quickly put right and we found the house suited out needs. We had a very enjoyable stay as it was only a short walk to the beach and the weather was brilliant.

Great house right near Fistral beach.

We had a great stay. House was clean and comfortable with everything you need. Nice quiet Neigbour hood and Just a walk away from the beach. The only negative is that there was no hot water so cold showers for the 9 of us.

Home was comfortable, clean, and had cute decor. We were happy with the location which allowed us to travel around Cornwall without having to drive too far in any direction.

There were six of us (4 adults) in total and each of us thought the property wonderful.

The property situated on the edge of Newquay and so close to Fistral Beach was ideal for the type of holiday we had in mind and we all had a great time. There was no queuing in and out of Newquay which suited us particularly and though it was a trek to the Supermarket it was doable and added to the needed exercise. The house itself we loved - it was spacious and had everything we needed. There was ample parking for two cars - space at rear for bicycles and wet suits so what more could one ask for a family holiday? Nothing I think. Newquay situated where it is made travelling to other parts of Cornwall easy and ‘sights’ were part of our holiday so we combined both - the surf and the sea and the sight see!! Would we return again to the property? ...... of course we would. Agreed by us all.

Fantastic location

Loved staying at this house and it felt like home straight away.Avis was very helpful with any queries and left a thoughtful welcoming touch of tea and lemon drizzle cake not to mention the beautiful flowers & milk in the fridge.I would definitely recommend this property and it was literally 250m to Fistral Beach and a 20 minute walk in to Newquay town so a great location.Stayed with 10 of us.

A great second stay

When we arrived at the 29th Aug. 2017 for the second time a well prepared and comfortable house was waiting for us. The contact with Avis (owner) was always very friendly and uncomplicated. And well also our comment after first stay in 2014 about the squeaking metal bed had found a happy end: a new wooden bed in the sleeping room down stairs. Our Teenagers were absolutely happy about the free Wifi in the house. Fistral beach is wonderful and so close to the house. The Kids enjoyed Surfing lessons with the Newquay Activity Centre . The Red Lion was their favorite Restaurant, but also Rick Stein and The Stable at Fistral Beach can be highly recommended. The house works very well for 8 persons. And who knows - maybe we will return.

Spot on!!

Nice location,Fistral beach on your doorstep, 15-20 minutes walk in to town along beach path or main road and the Crantock just behind the house. Facilities at the house were good, although both upstairs bedrooms could do with a tv. We had 10 people in the house in total with adults and children, but to be honest 10 was a couple to many really for the size of the house, but all in all a lovely property in a nice location, with everything you need, and a great time had by all and would 100% re book again.

Mackerel Skies, Fistral Beach, Newquay

What a lovely beach house! Walking distance to the famous Fistral Beach and yet in a quiet location. The house is updated and well equipped. The decoration is trendy, "beachy" and tasteful. There is plenty of glassware and table ware to host a party and the linen and towels are hotel standard. We had a wonderful family reunion during that single warm week in July! Perfect!

Stunning

My family and I stayed here over October half term, and were not disappointed. The house is in a great location, and the boys enjoyed (very) early morning walks along the beach. The welcome we received, in the form of home made scones, clotted cream and jam for a beautiful cream tea, were very much appreciated, and tasted lovely. The house is a great size, and everything is finished to a high standard. We had an amazing time and can't wait to rebook.
