First I want to express how amazing all of the staff was. They were friendly, extremely accommodating and helpful with all of our questions. Especially Raluca. I didn’t get the names of all of the staff, but there was one young woman who went us her travel card because we were only going to do one trip. The interior of this hotel is beautiful. It is well cared for and was kept very clean. We were very comfortable in our room. My complaint with this hotel is that when we booked the reservations, we were not informed that there was major outside renovation going on. When we arrived, our balcony was completely obstructed by construction materials. The staff was amazing. They allowed me to look at many rooms until I finally found the one room that had an unobstructed balcony. It is my impression that if construction is being done on a hotel during booking there usually is a message indicating that. Or a message from the hotel will come in through my Expedia account email. This was not done. I hope Expedia expresses to hotel owners and management that this is something that should be indicated. We will make this our first choice when we return to Nice. We will just be sure to communicate ahead of time to make sure there everything is as should be. Again, I cannot express how amazing the staff is here. Also, the location is perfect. It is walking distance to all of the main areas and the beach, but removed enough that you feel like you’re in a little bit of a neighborhood.

Location is good. Two big issues: Rooms are way too cold and Wifi Service in the Rooms is terrible. Wifi in the room is practically non-existent which is a HUGE inconvenience for foreign travelers. I had to go down to the lobby for working Wifi. Very inconvenient. I visited end of November and the rooms will not get heat. I was way too cold. 22 degrees celcius was the highest for room temperature and honestly it felt colder than that in the room. A standard minimum for a hotel is to provide proper heat in the rooms, and working Wifi.

Very nice hotel, room was clean and comfortable. Building is being renovated and while our balcony was “open,” the scaffolding on the front of the building directly abutted our balcony. Kind of a bummer.

Hotel looked good and should have been lovely but the exterior of the building is being renovated and is mostly covered in scaffolding and tarpaulin. Our first room had no view of the outside, the balcony was fully covered with plastic sheeting. We were moved to a room with a marginally better view but in the day light it was again not good and we were woken up at 8am by builders banging right outside our window. We couldn’t open the curtains as they were on our balcony! We complained and after much wasted time were downgraded to an inferior room. We had to argue to get the difference in room rate refunded and then they would only do that for the 2 following nights, not the disturbed night. Receptionists very helpful, management lacking any customer service. The owners are refusing to mention the works online and are mis selling the hotel currently vs the pictures that are shown. Avoid until works are completed!
