The hotel is right on the beach. The rooms are about average. Trevor was amazing but we had our stuff stolen in the beach twice. As you have to get up at 4am if you want a hut on the beach so you put your towel, bag etc only for someone to take it and then take over your hut. This happened to several people! They don’t have security on the beach!! Hyatt reserves thei huts I might have to go with them next time!!

The service on the beach and the entertainment were disappointing. Last year there were at least four people providing service on the beach. This year there was one and sometimes two. Last year there were shows each night. This year they just had a dance party two nights and two nights which required audience participation. The process to get beach huts is also very difficult and the staff felt threatened by guests who were so stressed about getting their huts.

Loved our stay at the Barceló! All inclusive was totally worth it. The only thing I would change was the buffet for lunch. It became repetitive and the food was “ok” nothing to rave about. BUT we did enjoy the breakfast and the dinners at the restaurants were delicious! We definitely would stay here again. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and inviting. The hotel is also located in walking distance of other hotels, restaurants, and shops! We highly recommend staying here.

The Barcelo was an excellent for us on our 40th anniversary. We enjoyed all the food options. The buffet was our least enjoyed. We did not do any of the nightly entertainment as there was so many options within walking distance from the resort. I've seen other reviews regarding the type of boozed used, if you request the better booze if they have it you get it, we were not part of the Royal upgrade. All employees & services were great no problems at all. The only issues we had was chairs around the pool area. Any good covered/umbrella spots are reserved early in the morning. We did find if you ask someone they will get you chairs and put them where you want them. But overall we loved this place and would go back again.
