We stayed here in Sept since it is usually the "off" season & we were surprised that it was very crowded here. The pool/beach situation is horrible, people put their stuff on the chairs & never use the chairs. Every morning it was an ordeal trying to find 2 chairs & we were out there around 9. We would leave around 1-2 & still no one would show for the "claimed" chairs & forget about the pool you can't even find a chair there at all. The restaurants would say they were booked or tell you the only times available were between 8-9 pm, we walked by the one restaurant & half the seats were empty. The restaurants that we did get into were only half full so not real sure what that was about. As for drinks, we would use the pool bar during the day & at night leave the hotel & go somewhere else. I am not ok drinking with children in a bar & people thought it was okay to have their kids in there. As for the room it was nice & clean & we did have an ocean view. We wouldn't stay here again but we will definitely be back to Aruba

It's Aruba, and it's a Happy Island, but the place was dirty; there was a piece of hair on the 3rd floor of Tower 2, for the 7 days I was there, and no one cleaned it. At the Mexican restaurant, the waiter dropped the entire meal all over me, and my dress was ruined because it was a fish saucey meal and I would like credit for one day to make up for the embarassment and the ruined dress.

Stayed in the Royal Tower. It was beautiful as is the rest of the hotel. Good food, friendly staff shopping all around that you could walk to. Had the best time I would recommend to everyone.

Zulay, Oriannis, Shamilec and Carmen were very nice at the Beach club and Arubian Seafood restaurant. Michael was very nice at the Mexican restaurant. Overall nice experience the beach is great but you have to wake up extremely early around 6am to reserve an umbrella and chairs and the front desk was a little slow but still a nice resort. The Italian, Arubian, and Japanese restaurants were very good, the mexican was a little underwhelming but not bad. Located in a great location, there’s restaurants right outside the resort and you can walk along the boulevard.

Barcelo Aruba is the place to be! The resort is the perfect size—small enough to feel comfortable but big enough to have everything you need. The staff is fantastic, the beach and pools are just the right spot, and it’s within walking distance to all the fun outside the resort. I had a true 5-star experience here. And if you’re an Expedia VIP, make sure to mention it—they’ll give you extra perks that make your stay even more special.

Everything was great. The only thing I didn't like was that there wasn't enough chairs by the pool so if you don't wake up extremely early to get a chair you won't have a chair for hours. Everything else overall, fantastic

Bed was not comfortable at all , dated old furniture . Bathroom terrible , gross yellow stained old toilet seat . Bathtub handle broken old tiles n paint tub to cover up cracks!!! Toilet clogged twice while there . No fresh Towels what we did get were grey not clean they were suppose to be white. Asked for new towels they didn’t have enough . Towels stained with yellow and dirt so gross . Room not cleaned well . Bed made with sheets touching floor. Horrible rooms !!!! This is a hygiene concern can lead to worse health conditions . I will not return here . I didn’t rest well .

No one cared to answer the front desk. No service for towels or broken stuff at the room. ItI took 24 hours for someone to show up at the room after 4 times of asking downstairs. They draining at the sink and shower were blocked and we had to deal with it for all the rest of the trip. I called customer service at Expedia and I complained about it. This is not right and dont know where to stop. I can say that In general no one wanted to do their job but it’s not fare to us as we put a lot of efforts and spend a lot of money for this. Barcelo Aruba should change their behavior and people from maintenance, buffet and front desk should love their jobs. Thank you and hopefully someone will take this complains into consideration
