This room had a nice mini-kitchen which I made a bit of use of. The bed was comfy and the climate control was perfect. As always, Mel was super friendly and made me feel welcome.

Returning customer!

We stay at the Thunderbird Lodge for our annual trip to the Medieval Faire of Norman. It is perfect for us. Dog friendly and a small kitchen to heat breakfast and make lunches for the day. Mel is a gem and makes sure we have everything we need.

Nostalgic. Like walking back into the 80’s, in a good way. I wished we had time to stay longer. Would do an extended stay there and have everything needed in a motel room.

Awesome

The room was awesome. Lots of room. The kitchenette is very nice. Very, very clean. They even came and checked on us during a storm. We're going back next month. They even have smoking rooms. Great place!

Clean and Comfortable

Older place but reasonably priced. VERY clean and comfortable! Super friendly staff. Close to campus and pretty much everything else in Norman. If you are coming thru for an OU game or two, this is a wonderful place to stay.

I stay here often when visiting OKC and overall every stay has been wonderful. It’s quiet, the bed is comfortable, the shower water hits just right. And most of all the lady Mel is such an amazing person. She is very bubbly and blunt.

No frills motel, immaculately clean rooms

I've been staying here when i come to visit with old friends for a few days. All I need is a clean quiet room to sleep in; Thunderbird Lodge provides just that. On the outside, it appears that it might be previously neglected property undergoing slow modest careful renovation. It's a solid two-star motel offering no breakfast nor functional swimming pool, but quiet, inexpensive, immaculately clean rooms, with extremely helpful and friendly front desk and housekeeping staff. Perfect for my purpose.
