You get what you pay for, I guess. We stayed with a family of 11, and it was very difficult for everyone to be comfortable and get a good night’s sleep. Thankfully, we only booked two nights because we wouldn’t have been able to tolerate the heat any longer.
Only one air conditioner on the second floor was working. The other bedrooms had no air conditioning, making them extremely hot. The smallest bedroom had no ventilation at all and felt like it may have been a converted bathroom. There weren’t even any electrical outlets available to plug in a fan. In addition, anyone staying on the second floor had to walk through the master bedroom to access the bathroom, which was very inconvenient.
The air conditioner on the first floor was duct-taped to a closed window, and the exhaust tubing repeatedly popped off. As a result, the unit kept shutting off, making the downstairs uncomfortable as well.
There was also an ant infestation throughout the kitchen. The grill had not been cleaned and was filled with old charcoal and cigarette butts. We found cobwebs in the bathrooms and dirty utensils in the kitchen cabinets.
We made the best of our stay, but the biggest issue was how uncomfortable the house was due to the excessive heat and lack of functioning air conditioning.
