Welcome to three bedroom, second floor golf villa in the marvelous River Crossing community at Barefoot Resort. The spacious great room, beautifully decorated with enjoyable colors and so many nice accessories, has plenty of seating for everyone in the group. A desirable end unit, the villa seems larger than others, with extra windows and a more open, cool and breezy lanai. The lovely dining room boasts a full dining table with seating for six. The entertainment area has a large screen TV and DVD player for catching up on your favorite movies! The stereo/ CD player makes a special added amenity. Bring the laptop and keep in touch. We have Wi-Fi!
The master suite is decorated with warm inviting colors with the comfortable queen size bed. The master suite has a private bath, TV, ceiling fan and walk in closet. On the opposite end of the villa are two more wonderful bedroom suites. The second bedroom is outfitted with a full size bed and has TV and storage. The third bedroom has two comfortable Twin beds. This third bedroom also has a TV and plenty of storage including a chest.
The kitchen features beautiful granite countertops and comes fully stocked with everything needed to prepare a great meal at home. Eat in the lovely dining room or on the porch overlooking the fountain course. A convenient laundry room is off the hallway.
River Crossing has its own private swimming pool just across from the villa. There you have lounge chairs, umbrella tables, bathrooms, and BBQ grills. Do not miss the main resort pool, located on the glistening Intracoastal Waterway in front of our North Tower. Take our complimentary shuttle in-season there or to the oceanfront where you have access to a full service bathroom, showers and vending. Convenient to everything you want to see and do on your Myrtle Beach vacation, our resort offers something for everyone and our unmatched amenities are sure to please. An excellent choice for a vacation getaway and a wonderful place our snowbirds to call home for the winter.
My fault, i read the reviews and booked anyway. The carpet and walls are filthy and gross. Terrible musty smell pervaded. Mattresses were awful. My bil slept on the couch he said it was so bad. Should have stayed at a hotel for the huge admin charges that doubled the advertised nightly rate. Doubtful that we will do VRBO any more.
We had a great time at Barefoot Resort. Condo is very spacious and clean. Balcony overlooks the pond with little fountain great for nice relaxing evenings. Conveniently located steps away from the pool. The only downside was kitchen wasn't equipped very well but we made do anyways. Overall good experience.
The property was great. It felt very welcoming. The layout works really well. I liked that the kitchen was fully stocked. Additionally, it was nice to have laundry in the unit. The only suggestion I could make would be to add additional pillows and blankets for the guests use.
The stay was amazing the rooms are spacious and very clean.. I would rent again for a vacation.. the only down fall is the tenant above has a lot of kids and they werenât quiet at all at quiet time hours and alday long.. we asked a few times if they could quiet down and she wasnât pleasant when we asked.. I have a 18 month old and she would wake up while her kids were playing baseketball inside... over all tho it was a amazing place!
Really enjoyed our stay! Barefoot Resort is well-maintained and pretty. We visited in the summer but it was still very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the pool (just a few buildings down) and the gorgeous views from the balcony (pond with fountains -- my two year old enjoyed seeing the ducks and turtles swimming). We did not use the complimentary shuttle to the beach or Barefoot Landing, but the stop was a short walk away and seemed convenient.
The unit itself was spacious and clean, with tasteful furnishings. The carpet was obviously fairly new -- my husband and I both commented on how nice it was. There was plenty of seating, a stackable washer/dryer combo, and a good-sized dining room table.
I would recommend the unit to anyone (couples, families, etc). However, a few ideas for improvements -- the master bedroom's mattress needs replacing since it dipped in the middle and wasn't comfortable. Two of the shelves in the refrigerator were broken, which we did report upon arrival. The towels and some of the pillows might need replacing -- they were clean but the towels had color spots (looked like they'd been washed with color fabrics) and were thin, and a few pillows had seen better days (others were okay). The lint trap in the dryer was crazy full -- not a complaint since obviously I just emptied it, but housekeeping might want to watch that since I believe it's a fire hazard. All pretty minor things beyond maybe the mattress issue.
Overall a great stay. Thank you!

Great place to stay!
This unit is as described! The price was very reasonable for spring break. The unit was very clean and spacious, plenty of room for the four of us. Beautiful kitchen, awesome dining room table, comfortable living area and nice deck. Since it was a corner unit, there was plenty of light and nice views on the deck. The deck and master bedroom do face a main road in the resort, but the traffic/noise wasn't terrible. Great area to walk/run in. The beach is a short 5 minute drive (the shuttle was not running when we were there). Plenty of restaurants and shopping within 5 minutes. Broadway at the Beach is about 20 minutes away but is a great place for families (downtown Myrtle Beach was a little scary at night). The only complaint was the kitchen did not have many pans, etc for cooking and baking. We tried to eat dinner in the unit a couple nights and we ended up at the dollar store getting some aluminum pans so we could make some potatoes, etc. Don't hesitate to book this one (and I am a tough critic)!
