We had more than enough room for my family. I was not aware of linen not being included so we had to go purchase linen and towels which was a headache. There was about an inch of sand on the stairs, the floors were dirty and trash under some beds.
After traveling in a car for 12 hours all we wanted to do was settle in and enjoy the evening. The unit was filthy. There was food on the floor. Dirt and a sticky substance on the counters. Black dust bunnies coming from all the vents causing respiratory complications for several of our party. One of the children has asthma and was short of breath and coughing when in the unit. The air conditioning filter was black and the slats on the utility door were covered with black dust. The bathroom floors had hair from the last tenants and a dirty band aid on the floor of one of the bathrooms. A call to the management company said that each booking had a mandatory cleaning fee charged upon booking. I don't know who cleaned the unit but they should be fired. They management company refused to refund out cleaning fee. They said that a "reclean" would be scheduled for later in the evening. We had already cleaned the kitchen so that we could unpack the food. They could not give a time that the "reclean" would be done. It was already 7pm.
While unpacking we realized that dirty linens were left on some of the beds. One of the dresser drawers were held together with duct tape. The oven took 1/2 hour to preheat for a meal. The dishwasher racks where cracked and rusty. The vacuum was old, noisy and filthy. the toaster did not work. The list goes on and on. Someone needs to take control of this unit.
