Comfort, quiet with a central location in the Norfolk Broads
Enjoy the best of The Broads and Norfolk from your own quiet, self-contained apartment with ensuite king bedroom, comfortable double sofa bed, second bathroom, garden space, separate entrance and private parking.
Part of the old village school, Broadlands cottage sits in the heart of a small village with easy access to all that The Broads has to offer.
Located directly on the Weavers Way, minutes to either the Yare or the Bure rivers, Norwich or Great Yarmouth beaches.
I was really impressed with the quickness of the host to reply to any of my queries, particularly one around using the oven.
I really appreciated the cleanliness of the property and the style of the bathrooms.
Only downsides are that the property isnât near any local shops. The nearest shop is a petrol station.
This is a lovely property on the edge of the Broads. It was very clean and comfortable, and well equipped, and the host was very helpful.
There is easy access to Norwich and the coast, and some lovely walks into the Broads from the doorstep.
There isn't a shop in the village, but Acle is less than 10 minutes drive and has a small supermarket, pubs and takeaways. The big supermarkets in Great Yarmouth are only 15 minutes away.
Perfect for a couple looking to stay in The Broads but away from the busiest parts. Delightful apartment equipped to a high standard, lovely garden, very welcoming and charming hosts.
The cottage is lovely and clean and v well appointed. Location is ideal for exploring Norwich and the eastern part of the Norfolk coast. Hosts very helpful despite being out of the country at the time of visit. Certainly recommend for a relaxing stay, esp if you like a nice garden. Shops a short drive but itâs all the big supermarkets so you can get everything you need quickly and easily and at any time of day. Will hopefully be back for another visit !
Lovely location, in the middle of a small village, very quiet. Refurbished to a high standard. Comfortable inside and a beautiful garden, though note it's not completely enclosed so escape artists dogs need to be leads. Very responsive, friendly hosts
The property is situated in a very quiet rural location and is ideally placed to explore the broads, coastal area and the city of Norwich. It is beautifully decorated and comfortable. Excellent wifi and all the required amenities. Very dog friendly. Glen was a charming host who talked at length about the history of the building. (An old primary school). There are charming designated areas of garden to enjoy. I would highly recommend and hope to return with my wife and dog in the near future.
A lovely little cottage in an old school house. Location is great for exploring the Norfolk coast with Norwich and Great Yarmouth only a short drive away.
The cottage has everything you need for few days away and was very cosy.
Communication with the hosts was very good.
We had a lovely stay here, super clean and cosy. A real treasure with lots of home from home comforts. The host was A* re: communication and assuring our accommodation met our needs.
We really enjoyed a couple of days exploring The Broads and seal watching. Halvergate is a superb location.
Glenn was extremely helpful when I had booking problems and a cheerful welcoming host.
The clean and cosy flat was very comfortable and perfect for us 2 and Barney the dog.
About 20 mins drive from both The Broads and coast so well situated. Plenty
Pubs locally doing good foodâŠ
The Marsh walks from Wickhampstead were stunning.
Shower area needs an upgrade but thatâs only slight improvement needed⊠Iâd definitely recommend this property.
Thankyou⊠we had a lovely break.

We really enjoyed staying here in this beautiful little cottage. We not only explored the local area to include the Broads but also Cromer and Thetford forest. It was lovely meeting Glenn, Georgie and Willow.
Thank you lovely place to stay has the most comfortable bed ever, small but unique and needed for nothing. Lovely walks from the cottage and close to visiting seals at Horsey Gap thank you so much.
We booked a last minute stay here as we wanted a base to explore Norfolk, this charming little apartment on the side of the owners house was just what we were looking for. Very welcoming hosts Glenn, Georgia & Willow the doggy. The Apartment is a new rental & is beautiful, perfect for a couple or small family (we're 2 adults, 10 year old son & doggy) The outside space is a work in progress as it is large & the owners have been there for a short time, however still accessible. Halvergate it self is fantastic, quiet with great walks & easy access to the A47. We had a terrific stay & would definitely recommend.
