Absolutely perfect getaway at the Blue Cottage. Well appointed, great location, so clean & welcoming. Our dog loved the spacious & clean backyard. The only issue was our stay was too short!! Can’t wait to go back for an entire week.

The house was cute and clean. I would have preferred to have a dishwasher in the kitchen. The bikes were not in working condition and they would have been nice to have. Overall I would rent there again.

My family and I were very impressed with the accomdations at this house. There were plenty of towels/fresh linens available. There were even beach towels! The kitchen was clean and well stocked with dishes and utensils. The freezer even had an ice maker. The sectional couch and chair provided comfortable seating for our family of six. The outdoor shower was convenient when we came back from the beach. We ended not bringing our dog, but the backyard was a nice size and the fence was in excellent condition. She even provided a poop scoop and bags to make clean up convenient. Caswell Beach was an excellent location for finding shells and swimming. It wasn't as crowded as other beaches we've been to in the past and was family friendly. We mostly walked from the house to the beach and it wasn't bad at all. The neighborhood was friendly and clean. Even when crossing the road, most vehicles would stop to allow easy crossing.I would be surprised if anyone was disappointed with the accommodations and location of this house. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Will definitely be back!

We just got back from our first time to soak Island and this place was truly amazing! Everything was super clean when we got there and so easy to get checked in. The place had everything we needed to cook our first night there which was nice. Super close to Publix and the ABC store which was convenient, but the best part was it was only a little over a half mile walk to get to the beach! They had a big fenced in back yard for our two golden boys that they enjoyed as well. We also met some nice neighbors die the street that helped with dining recommendations. Overall it was an amazing getsway for us and we hope to get back again next summer!

Perfect Stay

Very dog friendly

Community was very dog friendly and we loved the privacy fence which allowed for our dog to retrieve every morning without us having to drive to a dog park. The house was comfortable and user friendly We would definitely visit again if ever in the area.

Wonderful beach stay

This beach house is amazing! It took us less than 10 minutes to walk to the beach and the home was very well maintained and clean. The backyard was large and the beds were very comfortable. We will definitely be back!

Great cottage with spacious fenced backyard and powerful AC!

We stayed at the Blue Cottage for a long weekend with our pups and absolutely recommend this listing! Spacious, secure yard with lots of room for the pups to run. The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances and utensils. Large AC unit kept the house very cool all weekend. Not having a king bed was a minor inconvenience, but we made it work! Great spot for a small family to stay on Oak Island!

wonderful property in quiet neighborhood

melinda was great to work with, and the property is just as pictured, clean on arrival and had everything we needed for a relaxing long weekend. we enjoyed the outdoor spaces too(except those durn flies), and it was an easy 10 minute walk to the beach, we rented umbrellas and chairs from quicksand to make it easier. the decor is really cute beach-not overdone and keyless enrty great-once we got the hang of it-. the outdoor shower was nice for a rinse, and not having a dishwasher was no biggy.
