Oceanfront family fun home and dog friendly! Coastal Coop

Welcome to the Coastal Coop! This classic oceanfront beach cottage invites you to sit back and relax! You can even bring your favorite doggies (pets or furry friends) as this home is pet friendly too! Delight in the breathtaking views of the Atlantic from the oceanside covered porch. Enjoy family and friend time with a summer barbecue or low country boil at the beach. Plenty of dining space with a table for six and a kitchen island with barstools, seating three. For your entertainment four TVS located throughout, including both Roku and smart TVs with firesticks. An inviting unobstructed ocean view greets you, along with an open concept layout.

This adorable beach cottage offers nice size king beds with cozy comforters in three bedrooms and the fourth bedroom offering a fun “baby shark” (underwater/ ocean /kid) themed space including one twin and one bunk bed set-twin over full. There are two full bathrooms- one on each side of the home between bedrooms. A private walkway over the dunes for easy access to the beach, straight in front of the oceanside porch area. After a day at the beach rinse the salt and sand off in the private, enclosed hot/cold water shower located right beneath the home and right next to a private outdoor bathroom.

With direct beach access right at your back door, The Coastal Coop boasts unobstructed ocean views of the Atlantic Ocean from your main kitchen and living space, front bedrooms and of course the oceanfront deck where you will be perched all week long. You will be treated to incredible sunrises and sunsets including views of the nearby Oak Island Pier.

The home features a keyless entry for your ultimate convenience. That is right—there is no need to check in at a rental office on the day your vacation begins. Simply head straight to the property at check-in time, unlock the door and unwind for a relaxing beach vacation! Don't delay, book today!

This home welcomes up to two dogs. All pet-friendly homes include a pet fee that covers bringing up to one dog. An additional fee applies if you are bringing a second dog. Please note that dogs are the only pets permitted.

Cute beach cottage

Classic beach cottage that has had some nice upgrades! This cottage was perfect for our group of 6 adults and 2 children. Bedding was comfy. Kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Private walk over the dune and you were right on the beach. We enjoyed our time sitting on the porch watching the waves.

May Stay!

House was exactly as described. Plenty of towels for everyone. Nice washer and dryer. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you would need. Beach is reached easily And there were chairs and umbrellas to use on beach. The porch had plenty of chairs and a picnic table and was enjoyed by all, including the dogs. The only thing missing was a gate for kids and dogs, but we had brought one with us, so no problems. We would love to come back and will recommend to others.

Family vacation

Excellent location and perfect house! The beds were all very comfortable (this is important to me!) and the kitchen had all we needed for simple family meals. The back deck and private beach access was perfect. Our kids had a blast on the large beautiful beach and we all enjoyed our stay. We will book here again!

Very nice beach front house for a family.

Reservation, check in, and check out service was very easy. The location was very convenient to the local area and family oriented. Very quiet and relaxing. Property had some beach chairs, umbrellas, boards, a grill, and outside shower that came in handy. Only improvements that would probably be appreciated by your quests would be to replace the shower head in the outside shower. Also, upgrade/replace the outdoor grill. The property had everything that was needed to make the stay an enjoyable one.

Great location and home!

What a great location and home. Met our needs for 5 adults,2 kids and toddler. Air was cool, beds were comfy. It’s great to have the outdoor shower after a beach day! Would stay again!

Coastal coop summer

Enjoyed our stay in Coastal Coop. Beds were comfortable and location was great. Internet and streaming buffered quite a bit and staff was going to check into it but we did not hear back. Rainy days could have been work days. Sunny days were great beach days. There was one switch downstairs that we noticed the night before we left that did not have switch cover and wire and box not attached to wall. One in our party got zapped trying to turn light on. Sent email hopefully will be addressed. One other suggestion would be to add outside hose and spigot to back of house when coming off beach. New outdoor shower is a great idea but shower head needs to be replaced. Overall great house just a couple of improvements recommended. Would stay again.

Wonderful!

This was such a lovely couple days here at the Coastal Coop! There was a little welcome package when we first arrived with some essentials and a bottle of wine! Really nice touch to help guests relax on a vacation! The views were just beautiful and since the beach does not allow public access it was never very crowded, which is always nice. The beds and couches were very comfy. I would have loved to have a little gate for the deck to prevent dogs/kids from running down the stairs as well as a more convenient hose to wash your feet off after the beach. Overall, this was a wonderful place to stay and we would definitely return. :)

Perfect Coastal Coop is

Perfect view of ocean! Within spitting distance!!! Clean as a pin! Wonderful views of ocean every where! We had all we needed! What a cute cottage! Easy access to the beach! That’s what makes this very special! And being sooo close to the beach! We could see my grandchildren playing! Perfect!

Lovely Little Beach House!

We had a great week at the Coastal Coop. The views from the deck were gorgeous! The tall Adirondack chairs on the deck were a wonderful perch from which to watch all of the activity going on at the beach. The house had everything we needed. I did like that there were some empty cabinets in the kitchen to store pantry items. The size and layout of the home was perfect for our family. Beds were very comfortable and the outdoor shower was a nice addition to the end of a day in the sand. We had a couple of concerns. First, the couches in the living room need a good professional cleaning and the mattresses could have used a vacuum in between renters. There was a good deal of sand in some of the mattresses. Last, some of the pans in the kitchen should probably be replaced. They were serviceable, but they were warped and were no longer nonstick. Other than that, the experience we had renting Coastal Coop was a really good one. Great communication and a lovely place to spend a week with our family. We would rent again!

Fantastic location and lovely accommodations

My husband and I already discussed booking the same rental for next year's getaway even before we left Oak Island. The house is perfect - clean, cozy, and well appointed. The porch views are top notch. The location is amazing. Five stars!!

Great House with Great Management

We booked this property 9 months prior to our stay and unfortunately it resulted in an Ill-timed beach reconstruction project that shut the beach down for the bulk of our stay. While this could’ve really ruined the experience, Jessica and the Salt & Sand team took the time to come by and talk with us and really understand the situation. They were very understanding and went above and beyond to help make sure we were okay. Not all property management companies would take that level of care for customers. We’ll be back! Hopefully to a clear, open beach with beautiful sunshine. Thanks!

Relaxing Beach Vacation

We loved the house as well as the setting and the view, and the property manager was very accommodating and helpful. When you sit on the deck you feel like you're actually on the beach. The sunrise and sunset views were spectacular. It's a quiet location and we slept great! We would definitely like to visit here again!
