Charming guesthouse facing the esplanade. Convenient to all amenities within a short walk. Communal kitchen was awesome. Fully stocked. Rooms were a good size. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Parking next to the building was £9 for the day or £1 per hour.

Great location, great price. No lift, so be prepared for lugging luggage up stairs. The bar downstairs is rowdy and the bass from the music bleeds up into the floors even a couple flights up. Bring ear plugs to try to still get sleep. I think it only lasted until 2ish in the morning. Otherwise great accommodation. It was helpful to have a common area kitchen available for use. Comfortable beds. Enough outlets. Clean bathroom. Ability to turn off the heating (October visit) as it was initially warm in the room. No washcloths but large towels, bath mat, and hand towel was provided. Easy pay and display parking right next door.

Great location and great staff. The room was incredibly clean and had great views in the midst of Storm Amy of the waves etc. When shutting the shower door, one side of the glass completely shattered. Obviously very embarassing as it's a sliding bi folding door so impossible to slam etc. The lady working on reception immediately moved us to a different room and contacted a first aider. The first aider cleaned up the small cuts on my feet and was just incredibly lovely given how mortified i was. We didnt actually hear the bar at all in our room. We did have a drink there and the staff were all very friendly. Would definitely come back, all of the staff are amazing.

Loved the location and view of the bay. Room and bed were fine. Handy that they had a pub/restaurant at street level. Would have been nice if they had a sheet explaining how the self-serve breakfast/kitchen worked (what was provided, what could be purchased nearby?). We did some exploring and figured it out, but it's details like that, that make a strong positive impression on guests. Building's interior finishes and decor need some freshening up, bathroom shower was tight quarters.

Stayed in the double en-suite with sea view. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Tea, coffee and snacks are available from the self service kitchen (honesty box on site). The hotel is located above a pub which can be noisy until 2am. that being said we didn't feel disturbed. would definitely return.

Great Guest House

Convenient location, the room was very clean and had everything we needed. Loved the honesty box self service breakfast system in the guest kitchen, again it was spotless. We ate at the attached pub and enjoyed some fantastic live music. Food was great and hotel guests get a 10% discount. Cannot fault it!

Fabulous location and self catering facility.

Very comfortable room, with lovely sea view. Easy parking, adjacent to the hotel (£1 per hour between between 9am and 6pm). Short stroll around the bay to Oban ferry port. Excellently equipped guest kitchen / diner, with fantastic bay views.

I loved the ‘old-world’ atmosphere and the attitude of trust placed in the guests. Our room was so quiet and peaceful. We dined in Markie Dans in the evening and I loved the friendliness, the food, and the toe-tapping Scottish music played by a young accordion player. I would highly recommend Corran House for your stay in Oban!

Great location for a short stay

Stayed here on either side of our trip due to early/late ferries. The Corran Guest House is in such a convenient location with a great pub attached which did really nice food and had a great atmosphere. The rooms itself were clean, super comfortable and quiet. Would happily stay here again.

So much nicer than we were expecting! Clean, lovely communal kitchen, well appointed rooms, close to everything.
The room we were in, spacious. Nice bathroom, all very clean. Will definitely stay again next time I’m up in Oban.
