Bear Trap Dunes is located in Ocean View, Delaware on the border of Bethany, less than 3 miles from the Atlantic ocean and the Bethany Beach boardwalk.

We welcome your dog with a few considerations. All dogs must be at least one years old and house broken. Dog mus be no to low shedding. Limit to 1 dog unless permission by owner .

Our house is in perfect condition and we are the original owners. Every year we update our property--new rugs, shower curtains, and lots of improvements. We just redecorated the master bedroom with new king size bed and linens, new queen beds on second floor, black out curtains and shutters. We installed new flooring upstairs and we replaced our washer and dryer with new larger capacity Kenmore w/d. In 2024 we replaced all of the kitchen appliances and added a new television in the first floor bedroom. We also updated the family room lighting. In 2025 we changed out all the bedding and renovated the powder room. We also added new lighting in the kitchen and added pendant lights.

Although we rent our beach house, we also vacation at our BTD home, so it is important that the beach house is a wonderful place for your vacation and ours!

We ask that our guests and their family and friends are non-smokers--we live in a friendly neighborhood. Our neighbors are also our friends who we know and respect, and if there is smoking in or near the house, they get the smoke too. Thanks for your understanding.

The kitchen is well supplied with all you could need even a blender, coffee grinder, frother for lattes, Keurig and Hamilton Dual Coffee Machine with pod and carafe service, cookie sheets, cooling rack, and lots of baking pans/sheets/muffin tins. There are lots of kitchen gadgets for cooks or grill masters!

The house is well equipped and has new smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. Brand new 65” LCD Smart TV for the family room and a new 45” TV in the downstairs bedroom. There are 2 40" TVs in the upstairs bedrooms and another smaller TV upstairs in the bonus room. We installed a wireless entry for no hassle with keys and easy entry for all of your family and friends. The code is deleted after your stay and the new guests get a new code for security.

The downstairs Bedroom has a firm king bed and a private en suite bathroom. Upstairs you will find 2 large bedrooms; in one bedroom is a queen bed/with new bedding/decorating and the shared buddy bath leads to a perfect family bedroom or kid's bedroom with a queen bed and 2 twin beds.

The bonus room has a twin bed, wardrobe with a small tv. All of the bedrooms are newly decorated and have fresh quilts/pillows and linens. You can find a brand new large Kenmore washer and dryer in the downstairs laundry room with high tech features.

The large front porch has a swing, 2 Adirondack chairs and 2 comfortable rocking chairs. It is a wonderful and quiet space to enjoy your morning coffee or to watch the sunset in the evening.

The garage has 3 adult bikes. You will also find lots of beach and pool toys for your use. There is also a large wood table and chairs in the garage if you want to add extra outdoor seating for family gatherings.

Community Amenities & Features:
Bear Trap Dunes is a full service resort surrounded by a 27 hole championship golf course, The Den is a great restaurant and bar, at the Village Pavilion there are 5 Har Tru courts and one hard surface tennis courts, with pickle ball courts too, Outdoor pool and baby pools, one indoor pool with jacuzzi and sauna, newly renovated workout and weight room with exercise classes, ping pong, basketball court, corn hole, and tennis lessons/clinics are available daily in season. The workout classes are available at a small fee and much more!

There is a fee for the week per person which from Memorial Day to Labor Day includes a free beach shuttle to Bethany Beach that drops you off a block from the ocean and at the restaurants and shops, and returns you to the shuttle stop that is steps from our front door. The fee includes use of the above amenities.(See fee schedule below for 2026 —this weekly fee is paid on line as we will send you the scan code. The Pavilion is at the corner of Willow Oak and Central on the Bear Trap Dunes resort). The house location is 3 miles to the beach and also within a bike ride of Giant/Weis grocery stores with a Starbucks in house, nail salon, pizza, Chinese, donut shop, the popular Hooked Up bar and restaurant, pet store and much more.

Bethany Beach has a wonderful beach, boardwalk and a walk friendly town. It has many restaurants, clothing and novelty stores, ice cream and coffee shops, a Sunday Farmer's market and lots of musical events every weekend. In the summer time there are live bands on Friday and Saturday nights, beach yoga in the mornings, many local 5K races and triathlons, art exhibits and so much more. Family and dog friendly!

The dog beach is located in Fenwick Park, that is approximately 5 miles away heading South towards Ocean City small entrance fee($10/per car and $70 for a season pass), great snack bar and bathrooms and kayaking and SUP across the street.

Rehoboth Beach is 12 miles the other way (north) on Coastal Highway, passing Dewey Beach. Rehobeth has a great beach, bustling boardwalk and fantastic restaurants. But do not miss Rehobeth’s wonderful Tanger outlets with tax free shopping, including Ann Taylor, Nike, Kate Spade, Vineyard Vines, Under Armour, Nike, Adidas, Gap and many, many more!

Bethany Beach is in the middle of all the beaches (Ocean City/Fenwick/Dewey/Rehobeth and activity!!
