BUG INFESTED, MOLD, MILDEW, UNSANITARY, UNHEALTHY

We booked Crow’s Nest, Ogunquit, ME from 7/12/2025 thru 7/21/2025 (9 nights).The first few nights we couldn’t sleep because we were filled with worry and anxiety about the number of bugs that we encountered upon arrival. As we began to unpack & wipe down the counters, we began to realize the extent of the dirt, dust, grime, bug infestation (including many spiders, gnats, ticks, beatles) that had not been cleaned or removed prior to our arrival. We were in a new “unknown” space/unit, we had no idea what else might be in store for us. We were up over a garage & we thought that this could be the problem. The pictures for this rental were terribly misleading,not showing all of the "unfinished" areas of this rental unit. We were so tired like zombies the first few days, because we were unable to sleep, having to deep clean and disinfect and figure out where all the bugs were coming from. We lost several days because we were in a space that was uninhabitable and our primary need for a safe and healthy place to sleep & live was unmet. This amount of bug infestation, dust, dust mites, dirt and grime was atrocious & this didn’t just happen over a short period of time, this was cumulative over many, many weeks/months without any attention to cleanliness. We had nowhere else to go & would have trouble getting a place in Ogunquit “peak season” at the last minute and for an extended period of 9 nights.The owners were dismissive and lacked accountability. Not recommended.
