Great Place To Stay
This was a great place for our family. The rooms were as described online, and while the bathroom was a little small, it was fine. Walking distance to the beach and pier. Owner was kind and helpful.

We booked VRBO April full pay showed up to property and the owner Alan and his wife said they don’t have a room and went in the back to discuss how to tell us they messed up and then told us no apologies but blamed communication with VRBO and never helped us any other way it was very poorly handled. Another couple was there with same problem! They also didn’t recognize the room so I think it’s presented misleading on here! VRBO if they want future business needs to cut ties with them! I pray to get our refund they didn’t seem to care about helping me with it.

We had an amazing stay! The property is wonderful. And the owner is absolutely fabulous and he really tries to make sure you are accommodated. I definitely would stay there again.

OOB Getaway
Good size room with two beds. Fridge and kitchenette. Bathroom was equipped with bar soap, shampoo, and body wash. Parking lot newly paved. Heated pool too. The hotel sits across the street from the beach. We could see and hear the ocean from our room. Access to the beach was less than a minute walk from our room. The pier was less than a 20 minute walk with our toddler. Plenty of shops and places to eat. Will definitely return again!

Inaccurate booking?
We arrived at our booked location and the property manager was unaware the reservation was for 5 people. He argued that it was not a possibility and said it was an extra $20 for a fifth person. After I showed the booking through VRBO he called a colleague to check the site and they confirmed I did pay and book for 5 people on the reservation with VRBO. They then told me it was still $20 addition to what I had already booked, exhausted from our 10+ hour trip I paid the $20 in cash. They were still not going to accommodate sleeping the 5 person party even after I paid the extra amount until I questioned what we were to do for our sleeping arrangement. They said they would “figure something out” Once we go into the room we were greeted with multiple well established spider webs, leftover items in the refrigerator and a ‘modified’ smoke detector. The property manager showed up with an inflatable mattress, one set of sheet and his ‘last pillow’. I reluctantly slept on the air mattress. If we would not have brought our own blankets, it would not have been a sufficient sleeping accommodation. This was our parties very first experience with VRBO and are not impressed with the experience. Outside of the location, it was not how we wanted to spend our evening. I did take photos of the property and am very unhappy with spending extra money for an air mattress on a motel room that I booked using VRBO for the correct number of people in my party but the property did manage accurately.

Best motel experience
The local owners do a good job in making this motel feel a little more homey. I have not stayed in many motels, but I think this would be the best of the options available in this area. Location is about perfect to the beach.

Don't stay here
Let me tell you about my experience tight parking lot, door didn't lock, no place to wipe your feet. We left twenty dollar tip to clean room and they charged us alot of money for excessive cleaning. All they had to do was laundry sweep the sand. I called and the owner told me it was the worse room he's ever seen and laughed and hung up on me. Disgusted.

Awful
Room was not clean at all. There were cob webs everywhere. There was a musty smell in the room. Behind the beds hadn’t been cleaned for who knows how long or they would’ve found the clothing left behind by a former guest. I had to throw away a package of unopened donuts because ants had gotten into them somehow forcing me to put everything into the tiny fridge which was also not clean. The parking lot is so small it’s extremely difficult to maneuver in it and they chain the exit so people outside can’t use it to u-turn but the guests inside can’t get out without a hassle. There are train tracks directly behind the property so you will hear the train multiple times. The pool was about the only good thing. It’s definitely not someplace I’d recommend or go back to.
