This was our second stay at the Etosha King and it wasn't as good as our first. We were very much looking forward to our stay here after a excellent experience in 2021.
The rooms were just as good, the separate villas with private plunge pool are comfortable and of high quality. Our guide, Davis was also very good after we spent the morning with him in the park and afternoon at the waterhole.
The difference this year was at meals and within administration, where the staff appeared under trained and under resourced. A light lunch took over a hour to arrive, drink service was very slow, our final invoice was mishandled and the property took money from my credit card for the stay that should only have been paid at departure, (which may or may not have been already refunded).
Its difficult to recommend this property at this time. The park is very close and has excellent animal and birdlife. The rooms are very good with really nice views of open savannah. Apart from one shinning light at the restaurant, (the guys who brings the schnapps helped as much as possible to look after us), it feels like a very demotivated team here.
